Free Trial: Amazon FreeTime – Perfect for Kids + Summer
Amazon FreeTime offers thousands of books, movies and apps for your kids. Try it for free NOW.
Amazon is offering a one-month free trial of its awesome service Amazon Freetime.
If you have kids and want to encourage reading this summer, Amazon Freetime is excellent. FreeTime is also PERFECT for managing how much screen time your children engage in.
Amazon’s FreeTime offers more 13,000 pieces of child-friendly content (books, games, TV shows, movies, and educational apps) from trusted sources for kids ages three through 12. If you decide to continue the service after the one-month free trial (and you are a prime member) it is only $2.99 a month, which is an incredible deal. It’s $4.99 a month for non-prime members, which is still totally worth it.
We have been subscribers of FreeTime for awhile now and all three of my kids (ages 4, 7, 10) love it. The service can be used on Kindles, Fire Tablets, and Android phones and tablets.
You have nothing to lose by signing up for a free trial and I think you and your kids will love it for the summer.
Books Offered on Amazon FreeTime
The huge-selection of books offered on FreeTime are excellent. It literally offers thousands of titles for all age ranges. I scrolled through our Fire this morning and here’s just a sampling of what I found: I Can Read books, 5-Minute Stories, Pete the Cat, Pout Pout Fish, Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls, Big Nate, Harry Potter, The Boxcar Children, National Geographic and sooooo many more. Basically, any book your child wants to read (or you want to encourage him or her to read) is offered. It is a huge library right at your child’s fingertips.
Videos Offered on Amazon FreeTime
The videos offered are hand-selected and ad-free. No concerns like you might have on YouTube kids. The video section has both single videos and series available, including Amazon Prime series. Yesterday Adeline used a video from within FreeTime to practice her drawing.
Apps on Amazon FreeTime
FreeTime also offers many apps, from educational to pure play. PBS Kids, Mickey, Angry Birds, Shopkins, Sonic, WordBlast, My Town, and TocaBoca is just a small sampling of what we have on our FreeTime.
I also like that the app allows you to set parameters regarding how much time kids spend on the app, how much they have to read before they can play, etc.
