Dollywood DreamMore Resort Review & Benefits
The Dollywood DreamMore Resort in the Great Smoky Mountains is a great option for families looking to enjoy a special experience.
For spring break, Elias, Adeline and I visited Dollywood DreamMore Resort and Dollywood for a hosted press trip. We hadn’t visited since Ezra was a baby, so it was a fun opportunity to get away and enjoy the park with older kids.
We stayed at the relatively new Dollywood DreamMore resort. If you are considering staying at the DreamMore Resort, here is what you can expect:
A Disney Feel
DreamMore Resort has a very magical, Disney-like quality to it. The staff is kind and attentive – from the people who greet you at the door to the . Every detail has been thought out, from butterflies incorporated all over the hotel to photos and quotes from Dolly Parton.
Great rooms for families
The DreamMore Resort offers family-geared rooms with bunk beds, which my kids loved. The rooms reminded me of rooms at Disney World or Great Wolf Lodge because of how they catered to families (bunk beds + queen bed vs. two queen beds) and had so many sweet decorations.
Free Parking at Dollywood DreamMore Resort
With the hotel being as nice as DreamMore, I would have expected to need to pay to park, but it is free. The parking lot is large and offers plenty of parking spots.
Essentials available
The rooms offer toiletry essentials in large bottles, mounted right to the tub. If you forgot anything else, the hotel is happy to bring it to your room.
Play spots
Throughout the hotel, you’ll find classic games like checkers. I loved this simple way of bringing families and groups together.
Outside, you’ll find a simple playground for more fun together. After checking out of the hotel, the kids played on the playground for a bit and it was a great way to burn some energy before the car ride home.
Multiple pools at Dollywood DreamMore Resort
DreamMore Resort has both an indoor and an outdoor pool. While it was too cold to enjoy the outdoor pool, we loved the indoor pool, which is surrounded by windows on three sides and was a nice size for families.
I also appreciated that a life guard was on duty, which isn’t something you typically find in an indoor hotel pool.
Easy access to Dollywood Theme Parks
DreamMore offers a shuttle to Dollywood and Dollywood’s Splash Country Waterpark, making it quick and easy for guests to go enjoy the theme park. It was also nice to not have to worry about parking at Dollywood. The shuttle delivered us right to the entrance and picked us up from the same spot.
Though this post is about DreamMore Resort, I wanted to say that Dollywood is fantastic and perfect for families. It offers family-friendly shows and rides, as well as shops, restaurants and an incredible Dolly Parton Museum. It is a must-visit.
Dollywood room delivery
If you do any shopping while at the park, you can ask to have the items delivered to the hotel. We bought several things at the theme park and it was so nice to not have to carry our bags. Simply ask at any store to have your items delivered to DreamMore.
The only downside to the hotel that I experienced was that the hotel restaurant was very costly. For the buffet breakfast for the three of us was $59 (at 10, Elias was considered an “adult”). Our second day we grabbed a lighter breakfast from the coffee shop, which offered kids’ meals for just $5. This was a far better option for families, in my opinion. The rooms also have refrigerators, so you could also bring your own food to save some money.
We absolutely loved our stay at Dollywood DreamMore Resort in the Great Smoky Mountains. If you love a hotel experience (vs. a cabin) in the mountains, definitely book a visit.
