Book of the Month Launches YA Book Subscription Service
If you are a reader who loves YA fiction, you are going to be excited about this new offering from Book of the Month. I am delighted to write this sponsored post on their behalf.
As a voracious reader, I am a HUGE fan of Book of the Month Club, a monthly subscription service of hardback, new release books. I have been a subscriber since it launched a few years ago and it has been a game changer for me. Some of the best books I have read in recent years have come from Book of the Month. Every month, I am assured of having a great new book to read because of this excellent service. I am seriously obsessed with it.
I visited Book of the Month’s headquarters in January – yes, it was dreamy and I wanted to take home a suitcase full of books! While there, they shared with me that they were going to be rolling out a subscription exclusively for YA fans. I’m so excited that it is finally available!
Introducing Book of the Month YA
Book of the Month has launched a new subscription solely focusing on YA fiction. The YA fiction genre has exploded in recent years, with hits like The Fault in Our Stars, The Hate You Give and The Book Thief.
With BOTM YA, readers will discover the best new YA fiction each month. When you subscribe, you will have the option to select one of five book choices. (Each month, five new releases are available to choose from.) Because the curators at Book of the Month have IMPECCABLE taste, you can be assured that this new subscription box is going to be a treat to receive.
One especially cool feature of Book of the Month YA is that it focuses on carrying books by debut and emerging authors, with an additional emphasis on the biggest names in fantasy and contemporary (they’ve featured books by Cassandra Clare, Angie Thomas, and Sarah Dessen already). BOTM YA also has an emphasis on #OwnVoices books by people of color, queer authors, and marginalized voices. I love the diversity I have been introduced to thanks to Book of the Month and am glad this extends to BOTM YA.
Book of the Month YA Sample Selects
Though the July book selection period is closed, I wanted to share the July books to give you a sense of the kinds of books you can expect from Book of the Month YA. If you subscribe before August 1, your first book will be one of the August selects (not yet announced.) You also have the option to add past books on, so you could add one of these July books to your first shipment.
All of Us With Wings: Michelle Ruiz Keil’s YA fantasy debut about love, found family, and healing is an ode to post-punk San Francisco through the eyes of a Mexican-American girl.
Wicked Fox: An addictive fantasy-romance set in modern-day Seoul.
Past Perfect Life: A tense and tender read about secrets and lies, reality and identity, and the ways we put ourselves back together when everything is broken.
The Boy and Girl Who Broke the World: With a unique mix of raw emotion, humor, and heart, the surreal plotline pulls readers through an epic exploration of how caring for others makes us vulnerable—and how utterly pointless life would be if we didn’t.
Symptoms of a Heart Break: A romantic comedy and tearjerker that is the ultimate cure-all for young adult readers needing an infusion of something heartfelt.
Your subscription will renew monthly and you can skip any month you want. I LOVE that only receive books you want. New members can get their first month for $9.99, making all of these books cheaper than Amazon or your local bookstore.
I love gifting subscriptions of any kind because the receiver is reminder of you and your affection for them month after month. Book of the Month YA makes a great gift for teens and readers of YA fiction. Summer is the perfect time to subscribe and see if you like it!
