Free $50 Credits to Trunk Club & Stitch Fix
If you have never tried Trunk Club and/or Stitch Fix, now is the time. Both styling services are offering $50 credits to new customers. This basically means that you can get 1-2 items for absolutely free, which is a steal.
I have used both services for years. I think I have gotten 35+ shipments from each service – that’s A LOT OF STYLING AND CLOTHES.

Stitch Fix vs. Trunk Club
If you are wondering how the two services compare, I’m going to break it all down for you. Also, in all the photos you see in this post, I am wearing clothes and shoes from Stitch Fix or Trunk Club.
Overview
Stitch Fix and Trunk Club are both styling services where a professional stylist gathers some information about you (through an intake profile form) and then puts together a box of clothes/shoes/accessories to send to your house. You try everything on, keep what you like, and ship the rest back for free.
Size of Box
Stitch Fix sends 5 items at a time with your fix. Trunk Club sends up to 15. This is one of the biggest reasons that if I were to pick one service to use forever, I would pick Trunk Club. I love that I can get more with everything box.
Brands
Stitch Fix supplies a mix of propriety labels and department store brands, like Calvin Klein.
Trunk Club is owned by Nordstrom, so you will only get items/brands carried by Nordstrom.
Personal Stylist
With both services, you fill out a style profile before your first shipment and fill out feedback on the items you receive. This helps your stylist to better style you in the future. Trunk Club also offers a messaging service with your stylist, which is awesome because you can message at any time and say, I am looking for XYZ and she will put together a trunk based on those needs. For instance, this week I am expecting a box that is just purses and bags! I love interacting with my stylist in this manner and feel like I get really personalized, excellent trunks because of it.
Products Available
Stitch Fix offers clothing and accessories for men, women and kids. Trunk Club offers clothes and accessories for men and women, but you can also do add ons to your trunks for a variety of items, include skincare and make up (just like you would find at Nordstrom). I often will add a lipstick or lotion to my trunk.
Styling Fee
Both Trunk Club and Stitch Fix charge a styling fee for your box, but that fee is absorbed into the purchase of any item you keep. So as long as you keep something, it is is free!
Mailing Items Back
Both services offer free shipping both ways, and include postage materials to ship your items back. As a busy working mom, I love that I can get items to try on at home and then ship from my porch/mailbox. No extra errands!
Quality of Clothes
Most of the items in my wardrobe are from Stitch Fix and Trunk Club. I can say with confidence that these services have made me a more confident, stylist dresser and I am so grateful. The clothes are always high quality and both companies have excellent customer service.

Love this thanks for the links. I have been wanting to try these out.
Thanks! So do we have to pay the $25 styling fee upfront and then they add $50 credit to our account that we can use on items? Sorry I’m a bit confused…
Hey there – nope, the styling fee will be taken out of the credit, so you won’t have to pay anything!
They billed my credit card for the $25 styling fee even though I have a $25 credit
