This spring, I discovered Revolution Math, and it has been a game-changer for my kids. If you are looking for an educational program that will engage, teach and stimulate your child all at the same time — you are going to love Revolution. Plus, the first month is only $5.
About Revolution Math
Revolution Math is a weekly program where your child joins a live math tutor and 2-3 other children their age for a live math adventure session. The lessons are story-based, and the children solve math problems independently and together to keep the story going. Nothing is pre-recorded. The lesson is completely real-time.
I signed Adeline up for the $5 trial and literally, after the first lesson, we were sold. Adeline went from being nervous about meeting a few new kids and not knowing what the program would be like to loving her hour of Revolution Math so much that she asked me if she could do it every day. The second week, she woke up on Monday and the first thing she said to me was, “I’m so excited for today.” When I asked her why, she replied with delight, “It’s Revolution Math day!!” I’m not making this up. She L O V E S it.
The program is geared toward 2nd through 5th graders, though my understanding is that many parents enroll 1st and 6th graders too. Revolution Math is designed to be an after-school program so the hour-long slots are in the afternoon and evening. We live in central time and when I enrolled I saw lessons starting as early as 2 pm.
Revolution Math is offering an incredible deal right now— click my exclusive link to get the first month for ONLY $5. With the $5 enrollment, your child receive a full Revolution Math learning kit in the mail (it includes masks, dice, graph paper, a protractor, and other math manipulatives that your child will use each week).
I cannot tell adequately express how much Adeline loves it. After her first lesson, we decided to sign Elias up too! Think of it like pod learning at home.
As a parent, I was impressed by the lessons, the way the teacher engaged with the children, and the follow-up. Every week I have gotten an email from my kids’ teachers letting me know how she is doing and what the lesson for the week included. It’s truly a remarkable program. Plus it’s only $5 to try! 🙂 I think if you have a child in elementary school, it is 1000% worth doing the trial.

My son is also in 2nd grade but is not taught common core (thank goodness) so I suspect this won’t work for him. HOwever, is this to supplement what they are learning currently or is it more advanced? I don’t want to pay for him to learn stuff he already knows.
I think that is going to be unique for each child. My recommendation would be to sign up for the $1 trial and see if it is a fit. From what I have seen of my kids’ lessons, I think it would be appropriate for all sorts of math learning styles.
