Most Recommended Audiobooks
The Dutch House – Tom Hanks reads this bestselling book by Ann Patchett and I promise, you won’t want it to end. It’s beautiful and memorable.
I Guess I Haven’t Learned That Yet: This was one of my favorite reads of 2022 and the author Shauna is wonderful to listen to.
What Happened To You by Oprah Winfrey and Bruce D. Perry – I think this should be required reading for anyone who is a person. Seriously, what a powerful listen about the impact our stories have on our lives. Oprah and Bruce are a delight to listen to.
Project Hail Mary: An astonishing science fiction book for anyone — even if you never listen to science fiction. I was hooked in the first minute. Seriously, PHENOMENAL and a must-listen (vs. reading the paperback)
The Meaning of Mariah Carey – If you love(d) Mariah Carey’s music in the 90s, this tell all memoir, read by Mariah is a must-listen. She sings as well and the audiobook is a pleasure to listen to.
Audiobook recommendations
Lilac Girls – If you love WWII fiction, this is read by three talented voiceover actresses and is a memorable read. I still remember crying in the grocery store as I listened while I shopped.
Outlander – Time travel, historical fiction and Scottish accents — yes please. This is a monster audiobook (over 25 hours), but worth it
Becoming by Michelle Obama – If you have never read the former first lady’s memoir, the audio version is a treat to listen to. I loved it so much that I bought the hardback to keep on my bookshelf.
One Two Three by Laurie Frankel – A story of three triplet sisters in a small town who face a lot of struggles. You’ll fall in love with these girls, their tenacity and their hope.
Trevor Noah’s Born a Crime – this is not a new memoir, but it might be one of my favorite listens ever! His hard work and humor combined with that lovely South African accent make this book a must on audiobook.
