NYC with my 14-Year-Old Daughter to see Hamilton
I had a speaking engagement in New York City and was able to bring my 14-year-old daughter with me so that we could have some fun in the city after the event. It was literally less than 24 hours, but we made the most of it.
We flew Southwest and when we arrived we headed straight to catch an Uber to take us to my event. Of course we had to grab an I Love NYC pic in the airport.
After the event, we went to The Tempo, which was our hotel in Times Square. We booked it because it was near the Richard Rodgers Theater where Hamilton is performed. We got ready for the evening and headed out.

Time Square is filled with photographers who will offer to take your photo for $10. Since we had some time before the show, we decided to spend a few minutes getting some photos.

The photographer was fantastic and she got so many great shots in a short amount of time. Note, the pics are $10 a photo not $10 for any you want. Our photographer was not clear about this, which I wondered if that was on purpose, but we still got great photos for an affordable price.

We then went to the Disney store (it’s SOOOO good). Afterward, we went to Bond 45 for dinner, which is a nice Italian restaurant across from the theater. The food was delicious (highly recommend the focaccia bread and the lasagna).

Then it was on to Hamilton. To see the show, which is currently starring Leslie Odom Jr. in his origibal role of Aaron Burr was especially exciting. We had the best time!
We waited by the stage doors afterward to meet a few cast members, then headed back to the hotel.

Of course, we stopped by the M&M store on the way back since it was open late. It was a fun and special time in NYC.
