Donate Scrapbook Supplies for Mercy Project!!

I volunteer for a home called Mercy Ministries which is a place where girls (ages 16-28) who are dealing with life controlling issues like eating disorders, unplanned pregnancy and depression come to live in a residential treatment program. (www.mercyministries.org) I have volunteered there for about a year and have seen many lives radically changed. Many of the girls love to scrapbook. After taking Donna Downey’s flip flop album class at CKC-Nashville, I thought it would be a great project to teach the girls.

It is my hope to get paper, chipboard and embellishments donated for the girls to make these simple albums. I know that so many here on the message board have so much. It would be an awesome gift to be able to go to the Mercy house and be able to provide the girls with all the supplies needed for the project.

Each album calls for 2 6×6 thick pieces of chipboard, 2 8×8 pieces of paper, 2 12×12 pieces of plain cardstock and a variety of patterned paper, ribbon and embellishments to decorate the inside. In all there are 40 girls at the house. Do you think this is something you could help with? We all have spare paper! If a bunch of people just sent a sheet or two of paper and a few embellishments, we’d be set. It totally can be scraps too! If you have chipboard, that would be great as well.

I’m hoping to do the class in about a month, if we can get enough supplies donated. My goal is to receive all supplies by June 1. That will give me enough time to figure out what is needed (if anything).
