So much to tell!
It has been a few weeks since I have posted, but so much has been going on!
First off, I have been blown away by the CK response to the Mercy project. Many ladies have been responsive in wanting to donate items to the girls. It is so humbling to see God at work. The girls don’t even know about it yet, but when they find out, I know they are going to be amazed. I’m so excited. Today I volunteer at Mercy and will pick up all the packages. Sarah says there are many packages. I can’t wait to go through them all, organize and begin to put together the kits for the girls. It is going to take hours, but will be so worth it.
Last night Matthew and I went to see Natasha Bedingfield and Anna Nalick at the invitation only Girls of Summer concert sponsored by 107.5 The River. You could only attend the concert if you won tickets. I signed up on the VIP email list on the off chance my name would be selected for tix and it was! Both vocalists were incredible – especially Natasha. Her electricity on stage was vibrant, energerizing and simply awesome to be in the presence of. Truly a great night.
Tomorrow morning Matthew and I are leaving for AL for a speaking engagement he has at a conference. We will drive back late for me to be back for work Monday morning. He has a pressing writing deadline for a new book, so prayers would be appreciated for these next few weeks for our little family. He has been under much stress these past few months as he has written non-stop – what a blessing to have so much work and talent! Yet at times it can be overwhelming, which we all can understand!
Tuesdaty is the official release of Matthew’s latest book Mind Games – Advice Stories and Truths for Thinking Free. You can read a sample chapter and buy the book by visiting www.mindgamesthebook.com.
Well time to get ready to go to Mercy!
Til next time…
