So much going on!
So it has been more than a week since I last blogged, but so much has gone on in this time. Here are some of the highlights.
Music, Music, Music
Last night Matthew and I went and saw our friend, Faith Gilmore, at Caffeine, and like always, she was amazing. Man, the girl can sing. Check her out.
Tonight we are going to the Nashville Symphony. Paula is out of town this weekend and graciously gave us her tickets. Nashville just built one of the best symphony facilities in the world, and I am SOOO excited to go.
Work, Work, Work
I have been very busy at work. I love the projects that I am working on and think that some of them could end up being some award winners. I’m particularly passionate about a new client called Strength for Service to God and Country. This is a devotional book that was published for soldiers in WWII and the Korean conflict and then went out of print. About 7 years ago, a young boy named Evan decided that for his Eagle Scout project he wanted to honor his grandfather by having the devotional book republished. It was republished in 2002 and since that time has been distributed to 250,000 service men and women! Our goal is to have that number double by the end of 2007. If you or someone you know would like to contribute, please click on the link above.
Scrap, Scrap, Scrap
Well, my first scrapbook class was canceled because we didn’t have enough people sign up. I was disappointed, but we have decided to reschedule the beginner class for January, which will hopefully result in a better turnout. Next week is the BoBunny Christmas book, which I am praying for a good response because the project is so great!!
Last night I stayed up until 1 am scrapbooking. It was wonderful. I am trying to get caught up on my pictures before Thanksgiving hits. Right now I am in early summer, so I have a way to go yet. If I can at least get through August, I will feel pretty good… I might stay up late tonight again. 🙂 Matthew says that some of the pages I’ve done are some of my best yet, but he may just be biased. I’ll try to post a few next week.
Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle All the Waaayyy
So I know some of you may not be ready to see all the Christmas stuff that is up in the stores already, but I am!! I LOVE Christmas. In fact, Matthew and I are going to put up our Christmas tree tomorrow. Next weekend is jam packed with Matthew is traveling on Saturday and Lion King on Sunday, and the weekend after that is Thanksgiving and then the next weekend will be December and our first weekend home together… so we decided why wait? I’m so pumped. We started listening to Christmas music a couple weeks ago already. Once the tree is up, I can start wrapping gifts too! (I’m about 85% done with my shopping…)
Okay, that’s enough! Consider yourself caught up.
