Wow, it’s been a long time…
So it has been a LONG time since I have made a post! November was such a busy month, work wise and life wise. But I LOVE that.
I am going to try to do a Reader’s Digest version of the highlights.
The Lion King
The show was AMAZING. I’m not kidding. I cried at the opening number because it was so incredible. Those of you who know me well know that I never cry. If you ever have the chance to see this show, you must do it. RUN, don’t walk, to get tickets. 🙂
Scrapbooking
I worked hard to catch up on my scrapping before Thanksgiving. While I didn’t get as far as I would have liked, I made significant progress, hitting August. Now, I have taken a break for a week or so, but I need to get on it again, as I am going to have so many photos from the holidays to contend with!
I am happy to announce that I have been selected for my first design team!! A design team is basically a group of individuals who represent a scrapbooking company by designing projects/layouts using their products. I am a member of the 2006 Design Team for Faith Based Pages, a monthly scrapbooking kit club. If you click on Design Team you can see my picture and read my bio.
Wisconsin
Matthew and I drove to Wisconsin for Thanksgiving. This year we had Mom’s family over to our house, and we had a lot of fun. Matthew and I made the desserts – pumpkin pie and apple cake respectively. I LOVE my apple cake – it is a ecipe from Real Simple’s thanksgiving issue last year and it is amazing.
Melissa, Rick, Matthew and I went to the zoo that Saturday and had a blast. We took more than 100 pictures. Here are some of my favorites.
Christmas
Tonight Matthew and I are going to a Christmas/birthday party, and tomorrow we are setting up our tree. I know we were going to do it LAST time I blogged, but then we decided to wait. We were going to do it yesterday, but I had a bad migraine, so we didn’t. I’m pumped. I have just about all my shopping done, so that’s great. All my cards are written – now Matthew and I have to tackle the letter and select a photo. My goal is to get them out around the middle of the month.
