A Busy Weekend and a GQ Baby
This weekend I took Elias to meet my colleague Rosemary’s little girl, Lyla. (You may remember that I have photographed her a few times.) She was so excited to meet Baby Eli – she even picked out a puppy stuffed animal for him. Here she is holding him – her first time holding a baby. 
Yesterday afternoon, I got to take a few hours to go shopping and get a massage while Matthew took care of Elias. I did some returns at Babies R Us, got a few needed items (most importantly, a sweet pea Halloween costume for Elias), and bought a few new tops and a dress for when I go back to work. I am in that awful in-between stage where I am not back to my normal weight (which is going to take a few months) and don’t really want to continue wearing my maternity clothes (though I still am). It was good to get out.
Today we took Elias to church, and I must say, he was looking pretty GQ in his Ralph Lauren from my Uncle Jim (a very handsome dresser!)
Matthew is going write this afternoon at Starbucks, and I am hoping to get some things done around the house while the peanut sleeps.

What have I been up to this weekend: vacuuming behind the side tables in our bedroom – great fun! And changing the toilet seat and mopping the bathroom floors – and trying to freecycle a few things – which is NOT going well.

Well This weekend has been very emotional for me. My daughter Hannah left for camp today for 6 days- first time away from home- she is 10. My oldest son Andrew leaves for college this Wed- he is attending Liberty University. So I am about wiped out of tears. They grow so fast. You blink and they are off to Kindegarten- you blink and they are in middle school- you blink and they are graduating and leaving home. That part of parenting there is no remedy or cure- you just have to walk thru it. So by this Thursaday I will be completely n comfort food and brownies. HA HA HA
Elias is getting so big already- see you blink and he has already grown. 🙂
Glad to hear you got some time to yourself. That is so crucial in surviving motherhood.
Glad you were able to read my testimony. It was from the Lord and my heart.
Please pray for me if you get a chance for me to survive all of this. I am afraid but know that God is there with me.

My little boy had a “playdate” as well this weekend, with my friend’s little boy who is 1 month older than him. (My little one is 16 months.) It was so much fun for the two of them, especially since the last time they got together they were both barely crawling. They played well together and we took them to a park with a splash pad. They had a blast!

please please pray for my sister in laws father who is fighting for his life in this very moment. his heart just stoped beating yesterday.the same day he and his wife celebrated that they been married for 34 years.

Princess, The only think cutier than baby Eli is a baby playing with little Eli!! I just love kids. Can’t wait till you bring him to Milwaukee so the whole family can see him.
