  2. Get ready for snow! We got our first snow that actually accumulated last night! (I’m in Madison). I have no travel tips, unfortunately…earplugs, maybe? Our little girl was a horrible rider for the first 2.5 years! She would just scream her head off, and she has literally never fallen asleep in the car. We never went more than 15 minutes with her if we could help it! Have fun with your family, and I hope Elias sleeps a lot in the car. He looks like a very good-natured little guy, so I’m sure you’ll do fine.

  3. Our 12 hour trip to Wisconsin was my daughters first road trip and she slept 90% of the trip. I was the same way, wondering how she would be and expecting the trip to be longer but it was a breeze!!! I am sure Elias will do just fine, enjoy the trip…make sure you eat plenty of cheese curds, mmmmm, that is always my favorite part of the trip is getting them fresh. 🙂

The new header is adorable, it looks great! HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

  4. I LOVE LOVE LOVE your new header… the sepia is beautiful!

That first photo of you & Matthew is so lovely!

Praying for a great trip for all of you. Kinda makes me wish we celebrated thanksgiving here in Australia!

  5. My advice with traveling with a baby is just have patience 🙂 I travled 8 hours by myself with a 5 month old and a 3 year old. I just made lots of rest area stops. Love the new header its precious!

  6. we actually prefer traveling at night since it’s dark (for the most part), less traffic, and our 7 month old sleeps so much better. We play quiet praise music during the ride. Sometimes one of us sit in the back with him, talk, read stories, play. we try to keep the schedule as normal as possible. Have a fun, safe, blessed trip!

  7. Hi! I’ve been following your blog for quite some time. This is my first time posting. I arrived here through Angie’s blog. You’ve really inspired me to pick up scrapbooking again. I stopped after I had 2 kids. But you’re right, this is the time to do it!! I need to capture all of the moments I want to remember forever!

  8. Good luck with the trip! Sorry I don’t have any tips for you. We haven’t ventured that far with our two yet.
Hope all of you have a very Happy first Thanksgiving with Elias!!!

  9. My tips are not really for a child as young as your son but I always make a trip to the dollar store before a trip and get things that can come out as they get bored. little flashlights are the best at night!
