Creative High and Choosing to Cheat
This weekend I scrapbooked more than I have in months. I told Matthew I was experiencing a creative renaissance. He laughed at me. But seriously, it was crazy. We are talking six layouts and seven additional pages in a keepsake scrapbook/baby book (where I simply had to fill in a bunch of questions). Pretty much everything is for the Best in Baby Scrapbooking. You guys are going to LOVE these products. They are simply amazing and make it so easy to create incredible projects. I hope I can wait two more weeks!
If you haven’t, please grab the button code here. Don’t forget to leave a comment when you add the button to your blog.
And here is the one layout that is not for the Best in Baby Scrapbooking. It uses a few of the products that Fancy Pants sent me for winning its fall layout contest. I am in love with this product line – Splendid. Isn’t it adorable? Elias isn’t bad either. 🙂
Sunday at church Pete talked about how there simply isn’t enough time to get everything done that we need to in our days. That we have to choose to cheat something. For me, it is pretty much always our house. I would rather hold Elias than dust. I would rather watch a movie in Matthew’s arms that vacuum. I would rather scrapbook a memory than scrub the bathroom floor. And it was liberating to hear Pete say you have to cheat something (this concept was taken from the book Choosing to Cheat). It is impossible to do it all. So, house, I choose you. Sorry. Experiencing life and loving those in it will always be more important than making you spotless.
What do you chose to cheat?
Mine is definitely the house as well! I have a sr. in high school and am really conscious this year of the fact that after June 6, our lives will forever be changed! These years have truly flown by!!!
You definately have your priorities straight : )
When you cheat your house, you win! Your family will never remember how clean the house was…they will remember the time you spent and the love you shared with them.

Mine is my home, too! I’d much rather spend time scrapbooking, reading, or just hanging with my husband than doing ANYTHING related to cleaning- or cooking, for that matter. 🙂
Oooh, I’m with you on cheating the house! Just noticed this morning how dirty our toilet is. Oops!
Definately cheat on my uni work…I would much rather be with friends, family, holidays, listening to music and blogging than do that! I’m proud to cheat to be happier 🙂 xxx.
mine is the house…i don’t like housework at all…i think i would bemore ok with it if i didn’t have to work ft.
my mom was the same way though.

I love your new headline pictures! It looks great.
And I cheat at sleep. I can’t sleep if the house is a mess or if my homework isn’t done or if one of my club girls needs to talk. I’ve gotten used to fluctuating sleep patterns–anywhere from 5 hours to 12 hours a night!
Mine would be the house as well I like to tell my house I will get to it later… 🙂 Later sometimes comes weeks later.
I LOVE your new header. It looks amazing!
L.O.V.E the new header!!

i will definitely be back!
i’ve been cheating the house for quite a few years. it will still be there tomorrow and the next and the next. 🙂
