  1. I LOVE that you posted recipes!!! We’re always in such a rut when it comes to dinners and these sounds so delicious.

    Thanks, and keep them coming!

  2. My Mum loves making Beef soup but she has never used Celery soup in them before so I might suggest that to her!

    You’ve made me hungry! X.

  3. One of our favs is SOOO simple and SOOO delicious….

    4-5 boneless chicken breasts (frozen)
    One bottle of Italian dressing

    THAT’S ALL!

Pour the Italian dressing over the chicken and cook it all day on low(about 9-10 hrs) and add some mashed potatos and veggies to your plate and it is WONDERFUL! So easy and SOOOO good!

The left over chicken is also good cold on salads as well!

    Enjoy

    Amy

  4. I have one that is so easy that it’s unbelievable. My newly married daughter swears by it!

    Pork or Beef Roast:
    1 Crockpot
    1 cup of Ketchup
1 cup of cola beverage (we use Coke)
    Small to medium beef roast
(you can add garlic/onions to taste)
    Combine in crock pot
Cook on low for 6-8 hrs

The meat is fork tender and the sauce is like a bbq flavor.
Left over broth makes a wonderful soup base. I serve with rice, mashed potato, or egg noodles..it’s a score every time:)

  5. 6 pcs. chicken
    1 package of mushrooms
    1 cream of mushroom soup
    1 pkg. 8oz cream cheese
    1 pkg. italian dressing seasoning

brown the chicken in a pan. remove the chicken, place in croc pot. in hot pan with drippings add mushroom soup, italian seasoning packet and cream cheese. cook until well blended. Put the mushrooms on the chicken then pour hot mixture all over the chicken. 4 hours on LOW 🙂

YUM…so tender and oh so good!

  6. oh and thanks for posting on the SE blog…I just would love the opportunity for free to go…plus you can’t go wrong with ATL 🙂

  7. As a working mama of a one year old boy and married to a fireman that I swear has the appetite of at least 2 men. I also rely of the crock pot. Here is one of our favorites Slow-Cooker Lasagna (I promise you it is super easy and good! ;o) ) We usually have a salad with it
1 lb ground turkey (or beef)
    2 cloves of minced garlic
1 tsp of dried Italian seasoning
26 oz jar chunky garden style pasta sauce
    1/3 c water
8 uncooked whole wheat lasagna noodles
15 oz of cottage cheese (or ricotta)
    6 oz shredded mozzarella

Cook turkey, garlic and italian seasoning in a large nonstick skillet over medium high heat until beef is browned drain and set aside.

Combine pasta sauce and water in small bowl

Place 4 uncooked noodles in slow cooker coated with cooking spray. (break noodles to fit). Layer with half of turkey, then sauce, spread cottage cheese, sprinkle with mozzarella and repeat all steps one more time ending with mozzarella on top. Cover with lid. Cook on low for 8 hours.

  8. Love the recipes! Our faves are:

    Chicken and Rice
    2 Chicken breasts
1 can of cream of chicken soup

Cook in the crock pot – when you get home, add one can of mixed veggies, cook instant rice in the microwave (1 cup of rice – 1 cup of water, 5 mins in the micro) Dump it all together and viola! Yummy!

(there isn’t a name for this recipe!)
    2 chicken breasts
1 can of cream of celery
1 packet of dry onion soup mix
    1/2 onion diced
    1/2 green pepper diced

    Serve over rice – yum!

And then the classic roast, just put a roast, 1 can of cream of mushroom, 1 packet of dry onion soup mix, serve over rice.

(Can you tell my husband adores rice?!)

  9. Saw this on Studio Calico’s message board and it is yummy.

    Roast
one pkg Good Season’s Italian dressing
    one pkg onion soup mix
Pour packets over roast add just enough water to cover. Voila…great dinner!

  10. I don't really have many recipes that are "mine" per say. HOWEVER…there is a site out there called A Year of Crockpotting. A woman used her crock pot everyday for a year & posted a recipe for that day. Not sure if you've been there yet, if not head over. 365+ recipes to go through!

Thanks for the recipes too :)!

  11. I just sent you an email with a list of dozens and dozens of crock pot recipes. You just click on the title and it takes you to the recipe. I’ve used about 6 of them so far, and they’ve all been so yummy. Especially with young kids at home, crock pots are a God send.

  12. Thanks for sharing. I wrote the yummy chicken down and might try it this week. =)
I use the crock pot all of the time.
    One of my favorites…baked chicken.
    Chicken breasts
3 stalks of celery (cut up)
1 can of cream of celery soup
1 can of cream of chicken soup
1 package of Lipton onion soup mix (mixed with 2 cups of water)
1 bag of baby carrots-I like the petite kind, and I don’t even cut them up. =)

Stir up and let cook all day. DELICIOUS!!! I serve over pasta or rice. The sides are all in the meal.

It is very healthy…to make lowfat, I always use fat free soup and serve over whole wheat pasta or rice, or just eat without the rice or pasta.

    Elias is adorable! =)

  13. One of my faves is also the Crock-Pot. As a working mother of a 2 year old with #2 due in 5 or 6 weeks I need to cut corners however I can!
Ever since I can remember my mom has made roast in the Crock-Pot. I love to make it because it is sooo easy. You can use the leftovers the next day for open faced roast beef sandwiches and they are wonderful!
    1 Beef Roast
(any kind will work- evn Pork I suppose!)
1 Can of Cream of Mushroom Soup
    1/2 Can of Water
1 Pack Lipton Onion Soup Mix
(I don't substitute this one with any other flavor. I tried Golden Mushroom and it was NOT as good)

Throw them all into the Crock-Pot and go! I have even gotten mine ready the night before and stuck it in the fridge. On my way out the door the next morning I put the pot in & turn on the crock pot.
It is great with Mashed Potatoes and the gravy it makes is wonderful!

  14. Oh man I am so going to try your chicken recipe! I love love love the crockpot! If you go to http://www.allrecipes.com you can search slow cooker and find tons of recipes! About a month ago, I bought a rack of ribs for 99 cents a lb! I sliced up an entire onion and put that on the bottom of the crockpot….then in a bowl I made a marinade of bbq sauce, spicy mustard, brown sugar, chipotle seasoning, italian dressing….just like a sweet, spicy, tangy bbq sauce and i put the ribs in the crockpot (cut the rack in half and stacked on top of each other) added about 1/2 cup of water to the bottom, put 1/2 the bbq sauce over the bottom rack, then stacked the top rack and added the rest of the sauce. Omg girl was it delicious!!! and easy. I didnt touch them at all till we got home that night….About 2 weeks later, my bf bbqed ribs on the grill, and actually said that they were better in the crockpot!!!!! I was sooooo excited! hehe!
His other alltime favorite recipe I just threw together…
I took 1 1/2 lbs of diced chicken fajita meat (the premarinated stuff I got for 99 cents a lb and just froze in ziplocs) threw that in the crockpot w/ a diced onion (we LOVE onion) added 1 big can of cream of chicken, and 1 little can of the cream of mushroom w/ roasted garlic. I did 1 cup white & 1 cup brown rice (uncooked) and then added 5 cups of water…and tossed in a little garlic powder, salt, pepper and chicken bouillon! After work we feasted on chicken and rice that was the best I've ever tasted! (and it cost me about $4.50 to make the entire 6 qt crock!!!!!) I actually took half the leftovers to work and fed my parents the next day too! and Jake and I ate it for 2 days too! It was great!
Okay this comment is way long enough….
If you ever want a crockpot idea…just email me!
Oh I also made lots with venison too!
    Happy April Fool's day!
    ~Abigail

  15. Here is one of my favorites- and it is sooooo easy and good!
    Easy Turkey Chilli
    2 lbs ground turkey
    2 packs of chilli seasoning
    2 cans of kidney beans
    1 26oz jar of salsa
Crumble up turkey meat(do not cook first) and place in crock-pot. Then add other ingredients and mix together. Cook on low for 6-8 hours and enjoy!

I have this crock-pot cook book that I got from Sam's and it's great – here is a link to it http://www.amazon.com/Forget-5-ingredient-Favorites-Phyllis-Pellman/dp/1561485292/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1238597802&sr=1-4
I have tried quite a few of the recipes and they are all great!
I'm gonna have to try your beef stew this weekend! Thanks for posting these!

  16. thanks for the recipes!!! I used to sell Homemade Gourmet and a lot of their mixes you can use in the crockpot. my hubby got SO tired of the crockpot, I haven’t used it forever! I am going to try your beef stew! thanks!

  17. Hey, I have a few. I will scan them and send to you. Plus check out these cookbooks that Revell published: Don’t Panic Dinner’s in the Freezer and Don’t Panic MORE Dinner’s in the Freezer. Not all are crockpot recipes, but many are. Great ideas for doubling recipes and freezing food to thaw and warm up for supper. I’ll send you some to review…

  18. I stumbled upon your blog a while back, but never commented! Just wanted to let you know I thoroughly love reading your posts! I can’t wait to try that chicken recipe.

  19. I have 3 boys. The older two are in school and play ball, so I use my crock pot regularly. My family’s favorite is roast. I put one can of Golden Mushroom soup in the bottom, add whatever cut of roast you like, then add another can of the Golden Mushroom soup. Don’t dilute it. Cook on low all day and fix with rice. The soup makes a wonderful gravy for the meat and rice and the roast is so tender! Fix a salad or green vegetable and you are good to go!

  20. Thanks for posting about this! I just got one for Christmas and need some ideas of what to make in it! I love crock pot food but haven’t attempted to make anything on my own yet so now I am inspired!

  21. This does not have to do with the crockpot, but something I do is buy several pounds of ground beef, usually when it is on sale, cook it all up, then divide it into freezer bags, at about 1 lb a piece..then when I need a quick meal I can defost the bag and add to hamburger helpers, taco mix, spagetti, the list is endless really.

  22. I too love the crockpot and was thrilled at all these recipe suggestions.. thanks everyone! Not sure if you have used the fairly NEW crockpot liners or not, but you should.. I buy these often and it will save you the time of having to clean out the crockpot after using it–I hate scrubbing that burnt mess off the edges after using it…don’t you??
Anyway if you haven’t tried these you HAVE TO! They are wonderful! Thanks for all the great ideas! Makes me hungry–J

  23. I never know what to serve with crock potted food. Your chicken recipe sounds yummy, what do you serve with it. You should post some of these recipes, us working mama’s need whatever we can get to make life easier!

  24. I LOVE ALL THE RECEIPES!!! I hope people keep posting! I love the crockpot too! 🙂

5 Serve over rice or noodles.

This is OH SO DELICIOUS My husband LOVES this recipe and I love it too, so easy, and so tender and flavorful. I like it served over linguine.

    Thanks for sharing your recipe!

  27. Forgot to post a recipe along with my comment previously:

Slow Cooker Barbecued Pulled-Pork Fajitas (www.bettycrocker.com)
1 pork boneless loin roast, (2 1/2 pounds), trimmed on fat
    1 medium onion, thinly sliced
    2 cups barbecue sauce
3/4 cup Old El Paso® Thick ‘n Chunky salsa
    1 tablespoon chili powder
    1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 bag (1 pound) frozen stir-fry bell peppers and onions
    1/2 teaspoon salt
18 flour tortillas (8 to 10 inches in diameter)
    Shredded cheese, if desired
    Guacamole, if desired
    Sour cream, if desired

    Total Time: 20 min.
    1. Place pork in 3- to 4-quart slow cooker. Place onion on top. Mix barbecue sauce, salsa, chili powder and cumin in small bowl; pour over pork and onion.
    2. Cover and cook on Low heat setting 8 to 10 hours.
    3. Remove pork from cooker; place on cutting board. Shred pork, using 2 forks. Return pork to cooker and mix well. Stir in stir-fry vegetables and salt. Increase heat setting to High. Cover and cook 30 minutes or until mixture is hot and vegetables are tender.
    4. Using slotted spoon to remove pork mixture from cooker, fill each tortilla with 1/2 cup pork mixture. Fold one end of tortilla up about 1 inch over filling; fold right and left sides over folded end, overlapping. Fold remaining end down. Serve with cheese, guacamole and sour cream.

It is really good and makes for delicious leftovers. The porkloin that you buy for it is really affordable too.

  28. Throw some pork chops in the crock pot with a little bit of water and a boat-load of your favorite barbecue sauce. Put it on low all day (if you can’t come home to check on it, you might want to add more water than a “little bit”–maybe a cup and a half?) and when you get home, pull it apart with two forks and voila–pulled pork! If it’s too soupy when you take the lid off, let it cook for a little while without the lid until some of the moisture cooks off.

Can you tell I don’t really measure when I use the crock pot? I really don’t think you can mess anything up in one!

  29. I am newer to your blog. I have enjoyed reading through your posts.

I love the crock pot a lot too. Thanks for sharing your recipes. I am always looking for new ones.

Here is one of our favorites.

~3 chicken breasts (I usually use the frozen ones)
    ~1 cup of water
    ~1 bullion cube
~1 Packet of ranch dressing mix

Cook on high for 4-5 hours. Serve over Rice or noodles!

We usually have leftovers with this. I use the leftovers to make a casserole with rice and broccoli and cheese. This way our family of 6 gets two meals out of it! 🙂

  30. I like to make Taco Soup in the Crock Pot:

    2 lbs. browned ground beef
    3 cans white corn
    2 cans black beans
    2 cans pinto beans
1 can tomatoes with mild chiles
    1 pkg. taco seasoning
    2 pkg. Ranch dressing mix

Just dump it all in the crockpot (don’t drain the cans) and let it go on low for several hours. You can put shredded cheese and crunched up tortilla chips on top when you serve it. It is really good!

  31. Not sure how I found your blog but I do enjoy stopping by every now and then!
Here is a crockpot recipe that is so easy and delicious!

    Beef Au Jus Dip Sandwiches
1 envelope of dry Au Jus seasoning mix
1 can beef Consomme (Campbell’s soup makes it)
1 envelope dry Italian dressing mix
    1 boneless roast

Place roast in crockpot. Mix Au Jus, beef consomme, and Italian dressing mix together. Pour over roast. Cook all day on low.
Slice beef (it will be so tender!) and serve on warm crusty french rolls.
    So tasty!

  33. Here's one from Gooseberry Patch – they have seriously good crockpot recipes and you can get their cookbooks at any Cracker Barrel, some are at Joann's, and on their website, http://www.gooseberrypatch.com. Good home cookin'!

  34. I’m sure now you’ll have lots of recipes to try out but there is a crockpot blog that my cousin likes a lot. It is
    http://www.crockpot365.blogspot.com

I’m not very good at experimenting b/c I have picky children. One that we do love is…..
    4-6 chicken breasts
    1 8 oz. cream cheese
2 cans cream of chicken soup
1 packet of italian dressing (the powder stuff)
some milk to taste, just to thin out the sauce a bit.
Seems to cook fast so if cooking all day then cook on low.
Enjoy with some rice and steamed veggies.

  35. have you seen the woman that blogs a new crockpot recipe every day for a year? she just published a book too i think!

  36. this is really yummy and really easy!

    Macaroni and Velveeta Cheese

  37. OH! I’m a few days behind… I so wish I would have seen this before I put in my grocery order for the week! I’ll have to remember for next week. I just got a crockpot and am clueless about recipes, but my friend has a whole crockpot cookbook I’m going to borrow. I’ll let you know if I find any keepers.

  38. I made the chicken recipe tonight. My husband & I LOVED it. It was so quick and easy. I definitely need easy recipes because I'm chasing after 3 little ones.
