Words from Mr. Rogers
I thought about what I could write today to help remember the lives lost of Sept. 11. Everything I wrote or thought about writing seemed trite.
Then, yesterday I stumbled upon this minute long message from Mr. Rogers.
And somehow, it seemed perfect. I love how he says, “to know that you’ll do everything you can to keep them [children] safe and help them express their feelings in ways that will bring healing in many different neighborhoods.”
I hope it makes you smile.
And if you haven’t read this lovely book, The Simple Faith of Mr. Rogers: Spiritual Insights from the World’s Most Beloved Neighbor, you should. It is wonderful.

Awww he is so sweet!!!
Perfect. Thank you. I need Mr. Rogers today.
What a great idea to post this today. It's easy to forget that as adults we still need the affirmation Mr. Rogers gave us as kids: that we each have an important place in this world, that we all have something to offer, that our hope and help can matter. Thank you!
I love that!
