Last Minute Shopping Deals & Ideas

While I shop all year round, I always seem to have a few last gifts that I don’t buy until the week before Christmas. This year, I found my last minute gifts on Amazon. We just signed up for a free one-month trial of Amazon prime, which lets you get most items with just two day shipping! It has been great for my last minute purchases. Here are a few deals I found:

O, The Oprah Magazine (1-year)– I love giving magazines as gifts because they give all year! O and many other magazines are just $5 and $10!

Black & Decker SZ360 3.6-Volt Ni-Cad Cordless Power Scissors – These power scissors cut through anything – perfect for a $20 gift exchange or for that hard to buy for person- and they are regularly more than $30.

The Pioneer Woman Cooks: Recipes from an Accidental Country Girl– I mentioned this book in my last gift list, but seriously, it is so beautiful. I bought several copies as gifts – especially since it is 50% off on Amazon.

The Cake Mix Doctor Returns!: With 160 All-New Recipes  – I love the Cake Doctor cookbook too. It teaches you how to use regualr box mix cakes and add a few ingredients to make FABULOUS cakes. Add some cake mix, towels, etc. and you have a fabulous gift.

Someone Knows My Name: A Novel – This is one of my favorite fiction books of all time. While I am not giving it for Christmas this year, I definitely have in the past.

Kingston 19-in-1 USB 2.0 Flash Memory Card Reader FCR-HS219/1– I use this card reader for transferring all my photos to my computer. I love it because it is portable and I don’t have to attach my camera to my computer. I have turned all my friends onto these. Great for anyone who loves to take pictures. It also works for four or five different size camera cards, so I use it for both my rebel and my small pocket camera.

Gary Fong Puffer Pop Up Flash Diffuser– I asked for this for Christmas. It makes your flash not so harsh. Sara says it works great.

Also, my friend Andrea has a post on her blog a while back about how you can get a free photo canvas. My sister just ordered it The deal is good through the end of the year. I plan to order a family photo from Christmas on it.

If you haven’t been using Swagbucks to earn gift cards to sites like Amazon, you are missing out. I saved so much money this year by saving gift cards I earned and using them to buy Christmas gifts. You earn digital “bucks” by searching using Swagbucks search engine and referring other users through your Facebook, blog, etc. You can then redeem those bucks for tons of product and gift cards. I love it!
