Project Life Tuesday: Week Three
How is Project Life going for you? I admit, I haven’t done much more than prepare these posts. I still need to get the photos developed, which I plan to do this weekend. I didn’t want to go more than two weeks without printing photos, but life happens. I have written on my journaling cards though, which is what I found difficult to keep up with last year.

Last week’s photos are all from Matthew’s trip to Africa, which I love. What a great week to look back on. I am having him write on the journaling cards too. I think it is important to involve other family members in this project.
Throughout the year, I am going to try to incorporate bits of other daily life items like Elias’s day care sheets, drawings he makes, airline tickets, etc. Ali Edwards is doing A LOT of this in her album. I don’t think I will do as much as her (I think it would get too time-consuming for me), but I like the idea of including more every-day life stuff, you know? I have a pack of American Crafts 8.5×11 page protectors to work into certain weeks. I also went back to my album from last year and added a few of these pages.
Next week I hope to do a post showing what my album looks like so far.

Sunday, January 17: Just a couple miles from the Equator, the World Vision team visited an island in the middle of Lake Victoria. One family of six lived there, along with the 100 trillion bugs that welcomed us there.
Monday, January 18: Meeting Grace & Odang, survivors of abduction and war, was a powerful beginning to experiencing the painful history of Uganda.
Tuesday, January 19: While watching children dance to congas, this little girl stole sat quietly in my lap. She had me at hello.
Wednesday, January 20: Just two of the stories that showcase the magnitude of HIV-AIDS.
Thursday, January 21: As he ripped into candy, I put a sticker on this little guy’s hand. But he kept pursuing the candy.
Friday, January 22: A beautiful & tangible reminder that, even in the midst of pain and hardship, God’s people gather together in worship, seeking hope and truth.
Saturday, January 23- Matthew brought Elias and I some really sweet gifts from Africa, but our favorite was this little drum for Elias.
