The Sweetness of Community
Last night I tasted the sweetness of community.
The house we are staying in is breath-taking.
It is airy and has lots of space for everyone to sprawl out.
But the Internet has been spotty, so all 13 of us crammed into the back bedroom where the router is located.
It was perfect.
We uploaded pictures to Flickr, blogged, laughed and dreamed God-sized dreams.
At about 10:30 Jen squealed – Lisa-Jo and Ann are on skype.
And there, sitting on a king sized bed, we all crowded around Jen’s computer and talked with Lisa-Jo and Ann – in Guatemala (they are there with Compassion this week).

We told them about our time together. They told us about theirs. We laughed. We prayed. We cried.
And the Spirit of God was unquestionably present.
This morning I woke up to watch the sunrise and thank God for His goodness.
I prayed for my friends – both here and away.
I asked for forgiveness for my sins.
I thanked him for my blessings.
Today is going to be a good day because of the sweetness of community.
