Pregnancy Update
I am 20 weeks and am so excited to be half-way through this pregnancy! 🙂
Placenta
At 14 weeks we found out that I had a low-lying placenta, but the midwives said that it was likely that the placenta would move up and not cause any complications for me to have a natural birth. (If it stayed in that position, I would have to have a c-section.)
Thankfully, my placenta has moved up, but instead of being the more-common posterior placenta (behind the baby), it is anterior (in front of the baby). This occurs in about 25% of pregnancies.
This is not a big deal, except that I don’t feel Adelyne quite as much because she has a “pillow” in between her and my tummy. I am looking forward to her getting bigger so that I feel more than light flutters.
Sickness
I stopped throwing up about 2.5 weeks ago – hooray! However, I have been fighting a cold for the past 10 days, so I will be thankful when that is gone and I feel “normal.”
Belly
It’s getting big! I have gained less weight this time around, but my height does not work to my advantage in pregnancy. 🙂
Cravings
Pickles, doritos (cool ranch) and lots of fruit (not all together!)
If you have been pregnant, what was the position of your placenta? Do you remember?
Did you have any weird cravings?
