How I Now Buy Diapers
I have written about diapers a lot on this blog.
My switch to generics during the day.
After using diapers for almost three-years (for the love, will Elias ever want to use the potty?!?), I have found the best way to buy diapers, save money and ensure we never run out.
You want to know the secret?
Buy them on Amazon, through Amazon Mom
Here’s what Amazon says about the program:
Amazon Mom is a free membership program aimed at helping parents and caregivers, from the prenatal days through the toddler years, use Amazon to find all the products their family needs. To join, simply sign into your Amazon account and tell us whether you are a Mom, Dad, or other caregiver of a child. By providing information about your family, you can help us personalize offers, e-mails, and product recommendations to help you find exactly what you need at just the right time.
No, they are not paying me to write this post, though I could totally be a spokesperson for them. I LOVE THIS PROGRAM.
(Note, you don’t have to be a mom to use this service.)
You get 30% off items like diapers and wipes when you use subscribe and save.
You get free Amazon Prime benefits, including free two-day shipping.
We now buy all of our diapers and wipes through here. I usually buy two cases of diapers at a time – and we never ever even run low on diapers.
When I see people buying name brand diapers in the store, I always tell them about Amazon Mom.
{I’m a dork.}
I do take advantage of the subscribe and save, but as soon as the diapers ship, I cancel the feature. I prefer to order the diapers on my own terms, instead of automatically receiving them in the mail (and being charged by Amazon.)
We have been paying the same price for diapers as generics.
And it is SO convenient to get them delivered to your house instead of running to the store. You seriously save time and money with this feature. The only thing that would make it better would be if you could use manufacturer coupons on Amazon Mom, but I just watch for Amazon Coupons (often in Parenting magazines) and coupons hosted on Amazon’s website.
I just ordered my first case of newborn diapers for Adeline.
So if you are mom/caregiver, go check out Amazon Mom– it offers a lot of great deals on more than just diapers. 🙂 And the Amazon Prime feature can be used on anything.

I may have to check out this again. I usually buy the Sams club brand and they seem the cheapest…but now we are moving away from our nearest Sams so this would be handy!
Also I have 3 boys and a new daughter. My 1st 2 boys didn’t have ANY interest in the potty until they we AT LEAST 3. It was frustrating. But with both we spent 1 weekend only letting them wear underwear and washing lots of wet ones…but in less than the whole weekend they were both completly trained and accident free. It will happen and trying to push it now with Adeline coming only puts stress on you!!
On a positive note – our just turned 2 yr old son uses the potty every day. He is in NO WAY trained yet – but he is interested and willing to try…something my other boys were not! Oh and I keep hearing that girls are much easier than boys….so Adeline will be a snap when it is time! 🙂 I will be praying for you and remember that this too will pass!! 🙂

To the commenter above, I promise you, it’s cheaper through Amazon! I love their customer service, their speed, the price, everything.
Jess, I learned about Amazon Mom through you – and I am so thankful! 🙂 I don’t even know the last time I actually bought diapers in a STORE. 🙂
LOVE Amazon Mom, but I just ordered another box last week and realized that they changed the shipping rules – if you use Subscribe and Save you CAN’T get 2-day shipping on them. Luckily they arrived MUCH earlier than expected and now I know not to wait until the last minute!! 🙂
Total bummer! Good thing I tend to stockpile anyway… 🙂
Has Matt shown him how big boys use the potty? Several of my friends have tried this with great success. But, when he is ready, PT will be a breeze.
Yes, but Elias still has no interest. 🙂
I *heart* Amazon Mom for diapers!
I LOVE Amazon Mom!!!
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, Jessica!!! I recieved my first shipment of diapers today. I appreciate your advice GREATLY! No more store brand diapers for my little one!
