It’s Back! Project Life Tuesday
I know! You thought Project Life Tuesday would never be back.
I have big plans for Project Life Tuesday for the next eight weeks.
You see, when I started Project Life Tuesday, the goal was to keep me accountable with my photos.
And for the most part, it has worked. Every week I get my photos together from the previous week, write my journaling on my blog. But that is where it has ended.
I am HORRIBLE at getting the photos in my album.
And journaling on the journaling cards?? NON-EXISTENT.
So from now, through the end of the year, it is Operation: Project Life. My goal is to get my album COMPLETE by January 1, 2012.
I have never done this.
Three years of Project Life. Not one album has completed journaling cards through December.
Here’s a little video with the current state of my 2011 album so that we can benchmark my progress.I also share my past albums so you can see, I really haven’t ever completed a Project Life album. (Please excuse the bad lighting and that YouTube selected the worst screen shot ever…)

Please feel free to join me in this endeavor. Let’s get our albums caught up and complete. It will be so worth it!

Side note for you December Daily participants: As much as I want to, I will not be doing December Daily this year. I want to focus on getting my Project Life album done and think it would just be too much. Maybe next year when I am nursing every 2.5 hours. 🙂
I’m also in Operation PL Catch-up. I’m good about taking the photos and jotting down notes for each day in a notebook but, am far, far behind in actually getting the pics in my album and writing on the actual journaling cards.
For 2012, I’m thinking about just keeping cards on me at all times and writing one out each day, on the day it happens, before I go to bed. It will take a LOT of committment but, I won’t end up in catch up mode again.
Miles watched the video with me. His comments: “Awww a BAY-BEE. Her has a bow on it. Does her have a bow on it, Mama? Her is so CUTE.”
Just thought you’d like to know. 🙂
Wow, our albums look very similar:) I’m also good at keeping up with the pictures but the journaling, not at all. I am totally jumping on board with Operation: Project Life!
So excited for this! I, too, am a few months behind and have been working like a mad women trying to get caught up! Count me in!
Here is a video I did awhile back of my album:

Count me in on Operation PL Catch up!
I’ve been working hard on getting mine caught up and I’m ready to do it all over again for 2012!
I need to do a LOT of work. I wasn’t the best at taking pictures with my camera this year, but I took a lot of pictures with my iphone. I want to include these pictures in my album, but would rather them to be 2X3 because they don’t look great blown up. Do you have a suggestion for a place that prints 2X3 prints? You may have already answered this question and I might have missed it so sorry if I am repeating an answered question:) Good luck with Operation Project Life and I can wait to see your progress!!
Sorry, I don’t. I tend to set up my 2×3 photos in photoshop – two on a 4×6 canvas so it makes it cheap and easy to print.
Sad but true – I’m totally addicted to watching people’s project life youtube videos! so Thanks so much for posting one! 😀 So funny – at the beginning of November – I made catching up to date on Project Life my goal! Now I’ll have motivation from others trying to do the same! awesome Jessica!!
Enjoyed the video! Since I’ve only been posting my pictures this year and not the completed pages, I think I’m going to try making a video of my album for the year!
I have been doing Project Life for 3 years as well and I have been a little stressed to get my album caught up. I’ve never fallen behind like I have this year. And I plan to tackle it this 4 day week-end!!!!
Love your post! This is one of the most rewarding things I do and it is so important to me to complete this year. I’ll be jumping on board Operation Project Life. :-)))
I made a big push in the beginning of July to get every bit caught up. And my album looks awesome! Then not one more thing is in it. I believe I printed out two more weeks of photos and I have collected a bunch of “stuff” but it is all in a pile in the dining room. I have a goal to get it caught up by Christmas so I can take it along with me as we visit family. I did Project life with a few of my aunts and uncle and my brother and it will be so fun to see what everyone comes up with at the end of the year!

OK. You might not be 100% done, but they are awesome. Even without the journalling. My 360 from 2008 and 2009 albums pretty much STOPPED – as in completely STOPPED after about 6 weeks. It was just too much. So even wtihout words on every single page.
A suggestion for a quick fix for the older books, instead of doing all the journaling at once, is to maybe print your blog entries from those weeks and just tuck them into the book in 8.5×11 page protectors.
I’m going to be doing the Project Life this year coming up. I was having trouble deciding between the traditional or digital versions, but the one thing that kept coming up was the fact that I wanted to tuck memorabilia and the like into the book. I think you helped me make my decision. I might not do every single week. That would be WAY too much for me to keep up with. So I might chose a week a month, or every other week, etc. Not sure yet. But if I do a week a month – or even 2 weeks a month I’ll get to stretch out the use of the kit/supplies across a few years.
I think that sounds like a great idea. I hope to have more “stuff” tucked into mine in 2012. I have been thinking a lot about revising my approach.
