  1. I’m also in Operation PL Catch-up. I’m good about taking the photos and jotting down notes for each day in a notebook but, am far, far behind in actually getting the pics in my album and writing on the actual journaling cards.
For 2012, I’m thinking about just keeping cards on me at all times and writing one out each day, on the day it happens, before I go to bed. It will take a LOT of committment but, I won’t end up in catch up mode again.

  2. Wow, our albums look very similar:) I’m also good at keeping up with the pictures but the journaling, not at all. I am totally jumping on board with Operation: Project Life!

  3. I need to do a LOT of work. I wasn’t the best at taking pictures with my camera this year, but I took a lot of pictures with my iphone. I want to include these pictures in my album, but would rather them to be 2X3 because they don’t look great blown up. Do you have a suggestion for a place that prints 2X3 prints? You may have already answered this question and I might have missed it so sorry if I am repeating an answered question:) Good luck with Operation Project Life and I can wait to see your progress!!

    1. Sorry, I don’t. I tend to set up my 2×3 photos in photoshop – two on a 4×6 canvas so it makes it cheap and easy to print.

  4. Sad but true – I’m totally addicted to watching people’s project life youtube videos! so Thanks so much for posting one! 😀 So funny – at the beginning of November – I made catching up to date on Project Life my goal! Now I’ll have motivation from others trying to do the same! awesome Jessica!!

  5. Enjoyed the video! Since I’ve only been posting my pictures this year and not the completed pages, I think I’m going to try making a video of my album for the year!

  6. I have been doing Project Life for 3 years as well and I have been a little stressed to get my album caught up. I’ve never fallen behind like I have this year. And I plan to tackle it this 4 day week-end!!!!

Love your post! This is one of the most rewarding things I do and it is so important to me to complete this year. I’ll be jumping on board Operation Project Life. :-)))

  7. I made a big push in the beginning of July to get every bit caught up. And my album looks awesome! Then not one more thing is in it. I believe I printed out two more weeks of photos and I have collected a bunch of “stuff” but it is all in a pile in the dining room. I have a goal to get it caught up by Christmas so I can take it along with me as we visit family. I did Project life with a few of my aunts and uncle and my brother and it will be so fun to see what everyone comes up with at the end of the year!

  9. OK. You might not be 100% done, but they are awesome. Even without the journalling. My 360 from 2008 and 2009 albums pretty much STOPPED – as in completely STOPPED after about 6 weeks. It was just too much. So even wtihout words on every single page.

A suggestion for a quick fix for the older books, instead of doing all the journaling at once, is to maybe print your blog entries from those weeks and just tuck them into the book in 8.5×11 page protectors.

I’m going to be doing the Project Life this year coming up. I was having trouble deciding between the traditional or digital versions, but the one thing that kept coming up was the fact that I wanted to tuck memorabilia and the like into the book. I think you helped me make my decision. I might not do every single week. That would be WAY too much for me to keep up with. So I might chose a week a month, or every other week, etc. Not sure yet. But if I do a week a month – or even 2 weeks a month I’ll get to stretch out the use of the kit/supplies across a few years.

    1. I think that sounds like a great idea. I hope to have more “stuff” tucked into mine in 2012. I have been thinking a lot about revising my approach.
