Project Life Tuesday: Operation PL Week 1
Well Operation Project Life is off to a slow start. This week I did get caught up on organizing my pictures, cropping vertical pictures to 3×4 (I set them up two on a 4×6 print in photoshop so that they are cheap to print), and ordering pictures on Shutterfly (thanks to a free prints code that I had). So they should be here this week.
I did not get one journaling card written on.
Adeline has been sick and too many sleepless nights meant I went to bed very early most days last week. Then I was out of town in Baton Rouge Saturday-Monday, so not much got accomplished. However, Adeline and I did get to hang out with my friend Colleen, who is expecting a baby girl, which was so fun. I also spoke to a grad student marketing class about the influence of female bloggers!
This week I am committed to getting at least TEN weeks of journaling cards written on. I am going to have some marathon writing nights. While some might be inclined to start at the beginning of their Project Life album, I think I am going to start with September. That is the month I started not doing regular journaling on my blog, so I need the writing to all come from memory.

How is Operation Project Life going for you? Are you getting caught up – or are you totally on top of your album?
I’m slowly but surely completing my album. I have added a few pieces of pattern paper in blank spots (on pages I’ve inserted), I’ve completed a few journaling cards, done a couple filler spots but there is still a lot to do.
I am so glad to see that you made progress. I always fall behind with projects. I am doing Project Life for the first time in 2012. But first – I have to get a December Daily finished. ;0
Good luck! I know that it is hard with a full time job and 2 little ones.
Love seeing your posts.
I ordered all my prints too! when they arrive I am going to town on journaling! I do two weeks per spread so it makes it a little easier- 4 pictures per week instead of 7 makes a big difference in my sanity level 🙂 great idea to put 2 vertical pictures into one horizontal! I will definitely have to try that!
I’ve been trying to do journaling on a daily basis in my planner or on my phone because I tend to forget so much when I wait. I live in Baton Rouge so I wish I could have snuck in to your class! Good luck with getting caught up!
I only need three pictures to have mine up to date. I try to journal every evening (knowing what picture I took that day that I am journaling about), then try to wait for photo deals to print my pictures. When I get behind during the week I make sure I sit down on Sunday night and at least keep my journaling up! Thanks so much for your inspiration!
I wish I would have known you were in BR! I work at LSU (and has two degrees from here), and I would have loved to come hear you speak!
My pictures are caught up and in the album, but I am only caught up to July in my journaling cards. I have a goal to do one week a day so I can get caught up before December (I hope!) Keep up the good work! Even doing a little bit is better than doing nothing!
I had a bit of a slow week too. My hubby was out of town and when he is out of town I scrapbook. So I did get some pages done but not Project Life pages. I am hoping to print more pictures this week since I did get my editing all caught up last week.
Ok I am not her to talk about catching up…..I just want to talk about how adorable Adeline is in that picture Jess….xoxoxoxo from her Nana !!!!
I’ve finally broken into the month of June with my journaling cards, so I’m getting there! I had to use my “boys finally asleep” time tonight to make my free Becky Higgins Christmas card!
I’m doing an album with monthly pages for my daughter’s first year. I stopped at about May, and was just keeping on the blog after that. Then that got slow too.
You inspired me to at least write about and pick out some pictures for October/November. Good luck!
I just ordered 2 or 3 months worth of pictures with all of my free print deals through Shutterfly. I am hoping that since I have been really faithful about keeping up with my Project Life blog posts I will be able to get all the journaling done pretty easily.
