Project Life Tuesday
I started Project Life Tuesday in 2010 because:
- I needed to keep myself accountable and on top of my photos each week.
- My family loved being able to count on a weekly post with pics of the kids.
- I thought others might want to keep themselves accountable too.
It was a huge blessing and so I am excited to be kicking off my third year of this series.
Each Tuesday, I will share my spread from the previous week, as well as host a linky for readers to link up their pictures/layouts. This year, Epson is sponsoring Project Life Tuesday, and they provided me with their Epson Stylus R2880 Large Format Photo Printer (C11CA16201) for many of my album’s photos. Printing photos at home is hopefully going to help keep me on track!
This week I kept things REALLY simple. My only insert was a 6×9 page for the kids school photos. I think that is a record. 🙂 A lot of my photos were phone photos probably because I was burned out after taking almost 3,000 beach photos the week before. I am running one week behind, but I will hopefully catch up this week. We just had too much fun over the holiday weekend.
On the left page, I had a bunch of photos of Elias with his classmates and their box “cars” that they made, so I clustered them together and added a journaling card directly on top of one of the photos.
I also had a dedicated card to our Family Movie Night. I used an arrow sticker from the Project Life kit on the photo that related to the card.
I also used a few Martha Stewart labels for some added words.
I used Washi tape an a little tag + ribbon on both of the kids’ school pictures. I love unifying elements like those. The cardstock is Becky Higgins.
I used my favorite technique of one large journaling card + number stickers to write about each of the photos on this page. As always, I love the simplicity of how it turned out.
Your turn! Please remember to link to The Mom Creative.
I love your pages, esp. the right side. Even the simple weeks to me are my favorite, just photos and a little writing. The kids school photos came out cute, they look happy!!! Good for you having movie night, we need to do that more often. Thanks for letting us link up here! Enjoy your week.
Whoops – I accidentally linked to my week 20 instead of week 21. I’ve now added week 21, I hope it’s okay to have two links this week! My apologies.
Great pages this week – you have such great pics of your cute kiddos each week. 🙂
Hey Jessica! For the school photos of the kiddos, did you use a 6×12 insert just cut down or a different size? And what size are the photo prints on that insert?
No I used a 6×9 insert that I had in my stash. The photos are 5×7.
I love the number stickers and one big journaling card! Very simple but so cute:) I always enjoy looking at your pages they turn out great! Thanks for sharing and thanks for the link up!
Thank you! I have really grown to like that look too. 🙂
Your kids are so cute, Jessica!
Thanks for sharing your spread – I have yet to use the insert on the right hand side (even though I have 10 of them from the variety kit) but this has given me a good idea as to what to do with them!
Thanks,
Ronnie xo
