Looking Forward to the Weekend
Man, I am TGIFing this week. I have too many things on my to do list (as I always do when the weekend comes), but that’s okay. Whatever I get done will be awesome. Here’s what’s on the list:
In-laws: My in-laws are coming for a week-long visit. They should arrive tomorrow night. I am looking forward to spending time with them, and getting some help with a few house projects. Due to the super storm that is scheduled to hit the east coast, they are post-poning their trip. Praying for safety for all.
The house: We have been here 6 weeks and it is slowly starting to feel like home. We are mostly unpacked (not counting the stuff that was in storage) and are finding our routine. That said, I am regularly rearranging and trying to find better places for items. It has been challenging to get really settled because we work full time + have been traveling a lot. This weekend I am hoping to finish some organizing in Adeline’s room and work on the craft room. We are just being patient with ourselves knowing that we are going to be in our home for many years to come.
Project Life: I will definitely be working on my album this weekend and plan to share several weeks’ worth of layouts on Tuesday.
Halloween: I need to get Adeline’s costume made (nothing like last minute). Despite the fact that I bought tulle to make her a white ghost tutu, I decided to make a candy corn costume instead. 🙂 Surely I will find another use for all that tulle! I also have to fine-tune Elias’s pirate costume (which I ordered from Amazon).
Leaves: A lot more leaves fell on our deck this week, so I am sure more leaf throwing will be happening!
What are you looking forward to this weekend?
We’re going to Cheekwood for Dia de los Muertos Saturday. You should come!
Ooooo, we went to do this last year and it was a lot of fun. That could be a possibility if we are looking to get out of the house. 🙂
Making a last costume here as well – needing it for a party Sat night! Eep!
We’re actually heading to Athens, GA to visit my sister-in-law. I’ve never been and am super excited! Hope you get a lot done this weekend!
Jessica,
Good luck on getting things done this weekend. I mostly wanted to say that the picture of Elias and Adeline playing in the leaves is so cute! It is absolutely the best!
Have fun this weekend.
Thank you! I love, love, love it too!
