Parents, Influence, Scarves and a Sale
Advance apologies of how all over the place this post is. I just have all these things to share. 🙂
My parents came to town last week Friday to see our new house and help us with a long to-do list. I am still amazed at all they accomplished. I wish I had taken some before and after shots of our closets! Seriously amazing. My dad is Mr. Handyman and my mom is Ms. Organizer – together they should do a show on HGTV. 🙂 I hope someday Matthew and I will be able to serve our kids the way they served us for the past 5 days.
We didn’t take any photos this weekend except this slight blurry one right before they left. That’s okay though – not all photos can be perfect!
They left yesterday morning… with the kids! Elias and Adeline are going to hang out with my family in Wisconsin for a few days and then my parents are going to bring them to me in Indiana on Sunday.
Why will I be in Indiana? Because I am speaking at Influence! I’m so excited to encourage other women about blogging and marketing. If you will be there, please say hello. I’d love to give you a hug.
I must admit, I am also REALLY excited about getting a hotel room all to myself.
I will be headed to the conference today after work. It was a miracle that I got packed this morning. I basically just tossed a bunch of jeans, cardigans and scarves in a suitcase and hope that something matches. 🙂
Scarves are such a saving grace in the fall and winter. I am mildly obsessed with them and literally wear one almost every day.
Today I am wearing this new Redeemed scarf from DaySpring. It is one of my new favorites (I just got it last month). I love how versatile the colors are – it pretty much matches with anything. It is also one of those super soft scarves that you just want to bury your face in.
The first time I wore it, Matthew said to me, “why are you wearing three scarves?” I laughed and said it was just one. The scarf has three distinct patterns on it and depending how you wear it you can show off all or some of the patterns. (I was cracking up as Matthew was taking these pictures and we were trying to figure out how to show you the three patterns because the scarf is so long (I have it folded a couple times in the shot).
If you are like me and you like scarves, then you are in luck because today from 11-3 CST, DaySpring is offering these Redeemed scarves for just $10 (regularly $30).
It would be a great girlfriend, sister or teacher gift, don’t you think? Also a perfect stocking stuffer or $10 gift exchange.
Remember, this flash sale is just from 11-3, so don’t delay.
Also, DaySpring offers free shipping on orders over $50. If you don’t buy 5 scarves, here are a few other good Christmas deals to be had:
- Jesus Is The Gift 5 1/2″ Candy Dish is on sale for only $5.20. I bought a few of these to fill with Christmas cookies and give as gifts this year.
- Set of 2 Love Came Down tea towels are on sale for $4.99. I love these tea towels!
- Christmas Carol Tree – these are regularly $49.99 and are on sale for $12.49. I can’t wait to put this on my mantle this Christmas. I also have a couple in my gift stash!
Update: Use the codeSHIP20 to get free shipping on a purchase of $20 or more (It makes total sense to buy at least two scarves. One scarf + shipping is $16.45. Or you can get 2 for $20 + free shipping!)! Alternatively, use the code 20offgifts to get 20% off your total purchase. YEOW!
I love scarves because if my neck is warm, my whole body feels warmer! As a mom to three, it’s a pain getting them in & out of car seats when I’m all bundled up in a coat. Even indoors here in TX in the winter, I’m always so cold and wearing a scarf is so helpful.
Yes to wearing scarves instead of coats! 🙂
You are gorgeous Jessica. These are fabulous photos of you! And the scarf. 🙂 Wish I could hear you speak at Influence.
You are too, too kind. I give credit to the beautiful morning light. 🙂
So funny b/c I just got back from Chicago & I swear everyone I saw had on a scarf!! We went to Nordstrom’s Rack and I bought 2 for $10.00. Now I have my kiddos wearing scarves b/c I told them they were “all the rage this fall”! Love it! Thanks for the links. I missed out on the memo board the other day & still regretting it !
You are so beautiful in those pics! I love your freckles in the last one. Props to your photographer man 😉
Gorgeous photos! I’ve been eyeing this scarf for awhile now (and even almost bought it last month), so when I saw Dayspring’s posting on FB, I ordered it immediately! So glad to see these pictures because I like my scarves big and I was worried about the size of this one (which is the reason I’d hesitated before!)…this looks like the perfect size, so happy I went ahead and ordered!
Thanks for the deal info- I ordered 3, one for each of my kids teachers for Christmas and one for me. So glad to have some of my shopping done.
I found out about the scarf earlier today but I’m so glad you mentioned the extra goodies that are on sale. I have a couple of gifts done now and I think my dear friend will love the candy dish! Thanks!
Thank you for the great deal! I got two – one for myself and one for my sister for her upcoming birthday. I can’t wait to see it in person; the scarf looks gorgeous in your pictures!
Jessica, you are wonderful with the scarf around your neck. Awesome.
