Project Life Tuesday
Each Tuesday, I share my most recent spread as well as host a linky for readers to link up their pictures/layouts. This year, Epson is sponsoring Project Life Tuesday, and they provided me with their Epson Stylus R2880 Large Format Photo Printer (C11CA16201) for many of my album’s photos. Printing photos at home is definitely helping to keep me on track!
This weekend I successfully got photos in my Project Life album for all of September – WA-WOO!! However, I did not do a lick of journaling. This morning I quickly added some words to the below spread so I could have something to show you. I have said it before and I will say it again, I love, love, love that this album can be as simple or as fancy as you want it to be. While I might go back and add a few more things to this spread, if I don’t, that’s okay. 🙂
Apologies as I once again took these photos as I was headed out the door!
Here is spread one. I kept things simple this week – the standard 12×12 pages + an 11×8.5 insert. I love the big group shot from my (in)courage writers’ weekend. I think the 11x.8.5 insert adds such a fun pop to the layout.
Here is the 12×12 page. I love that I overlapped a 6×4 with an instagram of our old living room (in boxes) and soon to be new living room (empty). The journaling tags are from JoAnns. (Sorry that my lens focused only on the bottom left photo! You get the idea).
Here is spread two. For the 11×8.5, I set up the file in Photoshop Elements to be a 11×4 photo at the top and then the two photos beneath it.
For the last page, I used a Design B insert (why don’t I use this design more? I love, love, love the 4×3 horizontal photos). I used a single 4×6 grid card for all the journaling about the girls weekend. A simple strip of washi tape from Freckled Fawn adds the perfect design element. (If you haven’t checked out the box sets of pre-cut cardstock from Becky Higgins, you should. I am loving the versatility!)
So yes, if you are keeping track that means that as of this coming weekend I will have five more weeks of catching up to do (all of October – printing photos + journaling) + four additional weeks of journaling (for the last week of August + 3 weeks in September).
I’m totally comfortable with where I am right now. I have never gotten this far in my Project Life album and know that with a bit of hard work, I can get caught up. This weekend as I was slipping photos into my page protectors I said to Matthew, “man I love Project Life.” It is such a neat way to document your family’s story.
How are you doing?
{Oh and by the way, be sure to check out Becky Higgins’ blog for some fun new partnerships that are coming for Project Life!}
Enjoyed the pics of the trip ….I love the group shot, so many of you holding hands and bonding on that trip….feel the love through the photo !!
Love all the pictures of you and your friends! So happy.
Well done Jessica for accomplishing so much! I started PL in Week 14 so technically I have 3.5 months to catch up on from the beginning of the year. I have a plan though, and hopefully I can pull it off!
I love the photo from your writers’ weekend as well! Can you confirm if it’s a 8×8 square protector?

No, like I said, it is 11×8.5 🙂
Great layout! Love the pictures of your writers weekend. Looks like a blast. Also, really like the way you used the insert. Looks great.
I’m currently 7 months behind…but I’m slowly getting there. Two weeks at a time.
