Project Life Tuesday
Each Tuesday, I share my most recent spread as well as host a linky for readers to link up their pictures/layouts. This year, Epson is sponsoring Project Life Tuesday, and they provided me with their Epson Stylus R2880 Large Format Photo Printer (C11CA16201) for many of my album’s photos. Printing photos at home is definitely helping to keep me on track!
This week I wrapped up September (September 23-29) – yippee! I used two inserts in addition to my regular spread.
A new product that I used this week were the We R Memory keeper journaling cards, which can be found at Target. Someone mentioned these in the comments a few weeks ago, and when I looked at Target previously, I couldn’t find them with the scrapbooking supplies. Turns out Target had them with the album supplies a bit further down the aisle. I love the fun designs and the pricepoint – only $1.99 and $2.99. Fun, fun, fun – perfect add on to Becky’s amazing kits. Definitely check these out.
My right page was again that We R Memory Keepers vertical page protector. I enlarged one photo to 8×6 so that it could extend across two sections. I love how it looks. Both journaling cards are We R Memory Keepers as well.
Then I used a 6 x 12 Becky Higgins insert (my most-favorite and most-used insert). On each side I feature the kids and a small journaling card about their personality. I also used a thicker for the first letter of their names on the journaling card (another We R Memory Keepers card).
The next insert is also a Becky Higgins insert – this time 11×8.5. I used a big photo of Adeline taken while we were waiting for her tubes/adenoid surgery + added a journaling card from Memory Makers. I love the simple design.
The back of the page is a collage of photo from waiting for her surgery. I made the collage in Photoshop Elements. If you don’t have Adobe Photoshop Elements 11, it is a GREAT time to buy it because Amazon has it for 50% off ($49.99). I have never, ever seen it this low. You will love how easy it makes it to create collages, add text to photos, edit photos and so much more. So go get yourself an early Christmas gift. 🙂
The last page is a traditional Becky Higgins Design A page. I used the date card on this side as well as just some “regular week” photos. The stickers on several of the cards are Dear Lizzy. The quote card about Joy is from Becky Higgins Big Picture Classes special edition kit.
This week I plan to work on editing photos to try to get caught up. I have them all separated into individual week photos, I just need to plan out my pages + get them developed.
Next week Tuesday is going to be a special Project Life Tuesday because I am going to be hosting a Project Life chat on Big Picture Classes. The chat will be part of the launch part for a new ebook project I was invited to be a part of called Project Dig Deep . SO EXCITING! I will share more next week, but make a note on your calendar to chat with me at 8 pm CST next Tuesday. And if you are not a part of the Big Picture Classes Project Life community, sign up today for free.
Okay, your turn to link up!
I love your 11×8.5 insert. The orientation of the layout is unexpected and adds such nice variety.
Unexpected – perfect word! Yes, it is totally a cool addition to the Project Life page protector arsenal.
Jess, I love your layouts! You are always so inspiring! I’m glad you got the WRM keeper cards 😉 I was the one that posted about them. Don’t you just love them?..and those prices are just awesome. Also, thank you for letting us know about the Adobe Photoshop Elements 11. I just ordered one!! It will b my first time using it. Can’t wait to play with it!
Sarah
Sorry I didn’t remember who posted it, but thank you for doing so! 🙂 Glad you ordered Elements. I hope you enjoy it.
Love the 6×12 insert. Do you have a system for it? Like one per kid each month or something? Or is it just whenever you have a great big photo?
No system… but I would say one for each child every 1-2 months. 🙂 These large photos are some of my favorites in my album this year.
Love the 11×8.5 insert. The collage looks really great.
I upgraded from Photoshop 5 to 10 this year and I cannot believe the difference. I think I drove my husband nuts, showing off all my re-edits.
Can’t wait to hear more about the project, hope I can be there for the chat.
I ordered the PSE last week to update mine…I was back on version 6. I was just wondering if you had decided on a 4×6 photo printer yet?? I’m thinking of totally going that way this year as I want to stay up-to-date each week and not have to wait for a month to get pictures developed online.
I haven’t yet, but I will be sure to post if I do.
