Giveaway: The Ties That Bind
Today I am excited to share about a new Big Picture Classes class The Ties That Bind taught by my friend, the inspiring Stephanie Howell. If you don’t read her blog, you should. It is one of my must-reads. Not only is she incredibly creative and a scrapbooker (who I have admired for many years), but she is a mama you can REALLY relate to. She doesn’t beat around the bush. She’s passionate. She’s dedicated. She is real.
I did a little email interview with her. Check it out:
First, tell us a little about you, your sweet family and your hobbies: I am a work from home mama to four little girls. I am also married to my real-life action hero (he’s in the army) Jimmy. I spend most of my time doing dishes and brushing hair, but scrapbooking is my creative release and my sanity.
Can we just stop for a minute and talk about how cute her girls are?! SERIOUSLY.
Why did you create The Ties That Bind? I think people get so caught up in what is “in” in scrapbooking. In products, companies, styles. None of that matters. I believe that what matters is documenting the relationships in your life…telling others how important they are to you. I want to leave a legacy for my children.
What can people expect to learn? This class provides an in depth discussion of the five types of relationships in your life, how to identify them, and how to document them. Each relationship type has a brand new layout and PDF sketch download.
Who would enjoy this class? Anyone who is looking to get a little deeper with their creating.
I definitely want to encourage you to check out Stephanie’s class, The Ties That Bind. I have just had time to peak in the classroom, but you will not be disappointed by the prompts and quality of work.
Today, I am happy to give away one spot in the The Ties That Bind. Just use the rafflecopter widget below to enter. I will draw a winner tomorrow morning!
Good luck!
Looks like a great class
Looks like a wonderful class. Too often I think I focus on the photo and making it look good on a page that I forget to include the details behind the photo and the love of the people.
Sounds like a wonderful class.
I love saving memories and love even more learning how to do it better!
This looks like a wonderful class for capturing and recording what is most important in life. Thanks for the chance to win a “seat”.
I would love to learn how to document the different relationships in my life, because currently it feels like I am just documenting only one.
Any class that helps me appreciate my relationships even more has got to be a meaningful and sweet experience!
I want to get back to basics and capture MY relationship with the people I love.
Sounds like an amazing class. I need some new inspiration!
Sounds like fun. I need to do this.
EEK! This looks like such a wonderful class. I’m new to scrapbooking and really want to ensure that I’m capturing what is most important in my family’s life the best way possible!
This class sounds so fun and inspirational!! I would love to take her class and be able to refocus my relationships and get down to the core of their meanin in my life. To be able to fully appreciate and then document or journal @ them. At my church right now we are focusing on our Dreams and our relationships and this clad would be PERFECT and what a perfect time to combine this with that.
Thank you for introducing us to her blog and class and t will be a blessing to all who attend. Thank you for the chance to win a spot in te class!
Hugs,
Brook
Looks like a fun class!
Sounds like a beautiful class!
I am watching my sons grow up so quickly, and my scrapbooks are in sad shape. I need guidance and inspiration!
Learning to savor the memories is the best part of taking this class!
I would love to win it
I would love to take this class because I need this – my journaling has become superficial and I would love for it to be more meaningful.
I have taken Big Picture Classes before, and I love them. I have always felt like scrapbooking needed to tell the story of your life and your relationships, so this is my philosophy. Anything new I could add to my skills and ideas in this area, I would love to learn!
I’ve followed Stephanie for a while. I love her style, her sense of humor, and her attitude in general. Would love to be able to learn more about her process/technique. Thanks for the chance to win!
I agree with you that it’s the stories and the people behind them that usually matter most to me when memory keeping. Thanks for the chance to win this interesting class.
OMG, those girls are adorable. I love daughters! And the class sounds really good.
sounds like a really good class
I love Stephanie. I read her blog regularly! So real! Thanks for the chance to win!
I think I could learn so much from this class. Thanks for the awesome giveaway!
Bummer that my MacBook Air doesn’t let me even see the thing to enter. I think I might really enjoy this class. I’ve always been involved in family history, but I am more of a data person and not much of a story person. I would like to work on that a bit. I notice that I like that in my personal scrapbooking as well. Our albums are full of the facts and details of our lives, but not much of the emotion and story.
Hey! It finally worked and I entered!! Yippee.
This class would help me prioritize what’s important to scrapbook.
I have been scrapbooking for a while now and think that the most difficult part is the journaling. But I always write something, even if it is only one sentense. I think I could learn a lot from this class!
Thanks for the chance to win!

I’d like to learn more….I need to get started.
Sounds like a fun/inspiring class.
I love scrapbooking but would like a class to show me how to be more creative with it. I look forward to doing more with scrapbooking when I have a family.
Maybe this would help me get my six yo DS and five yo DD albums done. Or started. Whichever, it would be fun!
This came at the perfect time… I have so much scrapbook “stuff” that I don’t spend enough time doing it! This would be awesome to keep me motivated!
