I love working on the content team for Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt for a lot of reasons. One of the big ones are the cool stories of how kids triumph despite really hard circumstances.
Gigi Pasley is one of those kids.
She has beat cancer FOUR times.
She also loves to write songs. She is one of several patients turned published songwriters on the new compilation CD called Everybody Has a Story, which benefits the hospital’s music therapy program. The songs on the album were written by patients during music therapy sessions with therapist Jenny Plume. But it gets better because some of Nashville’s biggest artists including Amy Grant, Vince Gill, Alison Kraus, Faith Hill and Melinda Dolittle recorded the songs.
Goosebumps. Love the Nashville music community and the way they serve others.
