    1. It did! I have learned it is important to make time for yourself once in awhile, even if that means skipping the laundry!

  1. Love it! I am also working my way through old pictures while also keeping my Project Life album current. I had gotten so behind for years and years, so that “old” stack is pretty big. Thank goodness for Project Life or there is no chance I would actually get all these memories recorded in albums!

    1. I am REALLY hoping they release page protectors for 3.5×5 photos at the January CHA so I can start tackling older photos. I told my mom she is going to have to redo all my baby albums! (I want her handwriting in those albums.)

  2. Not sure why it never occurred to me before, but now I’ll have to put those in a PL album! Thanks for the tip and the link up. And I definitely need some holiday PL cards. Crazy, but I am already looking forward to some Christmas scrapbooking.

    1. The sticky albums are extremely acidic and bad for your photos. I am committed to redoing all of mine. Project Life is the perfect, easy solution. It goes really fast!

  3. That’s awesome that you got so much scrapping time! I have boxes and albums full of photos that I would love to get into Project Life albums. Now that I’ve completed my 2012 album maybe I can find some time to work that in a little.

  4. I really REALLY wish I had more of my photos from college, but it’s like that time in my life is a black hole as far as documentation. That’s so wonderful that you’re going to have such an organized album from your time at UW!

    1. I have lots of photos with friends and for that I am so grateful. I wish I had more photos of things like my dorm rooms, buildings I took classes in, etc. It’s funny how scrapbooking shifts your perspective of things to document.

And I can’t imagine what it would have been like to have a camera phone. Wow.

  5. Thanks to you, I started doing this with my sticky albums from high school, but I am making *much* slower progress. I started using a combination of patterned paper and my (ridiculously large) collection of PL cards from a bunch of different kits, but it’s going pretty slow that way, so I think I’m going to try to stick to *one* page protector design and using only cards.

Also, splitting kits is totally the way to go – I’ve gotten a selection of 3 or 4 different ones that way!

    1. Yes, I stick to primarily two designs for my college albums (big variety pack 2 – Design A and Design D). It does make things go faster. There have been only a few instances where I have dipped into my stash to get a different format. That variety pack seems pretty perfect! Keep it simple.

  6. I bought my mom a kit for Christmas when they were on HSN this spring. I think she will use it for older pictures, but she could always surprise me.

  7. This is so wonderful! I’ve heard a ton about #projectlife lately and finally started paying more attention to what is going on with it…and I love it! I used to scrapbook a TON, but since going to college, graduating, getting married (aka moving a LOT) I just haven’t been able to keep up with storing all of the supplies. I definitely need to do this, though! Thanks for sharing!

  8. College is also a huge black hole for me picture wise. I had a great personal journal from that time but it got ruined in storage when we
We were building out house. Anyway, i have maybe 20 pictures of campus and a handful with friends. Could you imagine how cool it would have been to do project life while in college. And a
Smart phone, I bet I would have been set. Oh well. 🙂

I have tons of pictures from childhood that I would like to do this for.
