The Weekend Ahead & Win a LeapPad Ultra

As I mentioned earlier this week, my in-laws, sister-in-law and nephew have been here visiting all week. We have had a blast, especially the kids – from swimming in the kiddie pool to swinging at the park to painting Sabertooth tiger canvases – it’s been a great week. 🙂
Today is our last day together. Though it’s raining, we are going to make the best of it. I’m taking a half day off of work and we are going to head to the Nashville Library for one of their amazing puppet shows. I’m so excited! (This is definitely one of Nashville best free kids activities.)
This weekend we are going to take things easy, going to a friend’s son’s 2nd birthday party and working on building a pirate ship for Elias’s birthday party in a couple weeks. (See my Pinterest board to glimpse my inspiration.)
I’m also hoping to get some writing done here on the blog. I have so many fun posts planned for the coming weeks – including a recap of Adeline’s Sesame Street party. I can’t wait to share it with each of you.
What are your plans for the weekend?
If you are online this weekend, take a minute to enter to win a new kid-friendly LeapPad Ultra tablet. (Wouldn’t that be amazing if a Mom Creative reader won?) Simply visit the LeapPad Sweeps site and enter your information. After entering the sweepstakes, you can invite up to five friends to participate. If they are chosen to win a LeapPad Ultra, you’ll win one too – even better. 🙂
I have long been a fan of LeapFrog products, and the LeapPad Ultra works with the LeapFrog library of 800+ educator-approved apps, games, eBooks, videos, music and more. It looks so cool. 🙂
I was selected for this opportunity as a member of Clever Girls Collective and the content and opinions expressed here are all my own.
I can’t wait to see how the pirate ship turns out! Our son had a pirate party for his 8th birthday but we had it at a pool so I didn’t have to do very many decorations. (I just splurged on cannon ball sized black beach balls and surprised the kids with them when they were in the water already.) Here’s the post I did with all the details…I don’t know about you but I find that so many parties are filled with a table full of sweets and I like to balance that out as much as possible:

Happy weekend!
Loved the swords in the fruit. I pinned your party. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
Here’s our pirate party if you need any additional ideas. Can’t wait to see Elias’ party!
