Works for Me Wednesday: All You Magazine
This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and All You, but all my opinions are my own. #lifeforless #pmedia http://cmp.ly/3/8vNxcO
Over the course of the past year, I feel like I have gotten a bit lazy when it comes to clipping coupons and shaving money off our every day expenses. When we moved, we didn’t transfer over our Sunday newspaper subscription and therefore, stopped getting Sunday coupons. I think that was the tipping point, though, of course, the Sunday paper is not the only way you can get coupons!
So when I was asked by the folks at Pollinate, on behalf of All You Magazine to pick up the July issue at Dollar General and write about saving money, I thought it was the perfect kick in the pants.
Dollar General is one of those stores that I always drive by, but rarely go in. However, whenever I do, I am shocked by everything they have in one store. The prices are also very competitive – like dollar spray paint!
I picked up my July issue, along with some hangers (why do we never seem to have enough?), Star Wars fruit snacks (Elias was thrilled) and spray paint (for Elias’s pirate ship that I am building for his birthday party in a few weeks).
When I got home, I happily plopped down on the couch, started reading and cutting coupons. The magazine was $2.99 and it touts including $30.35 in coupons and deals. The coupons alone make it pay for itself several times over. (Click here to get a dollar off coupon making the magazine an even better value!)
Frankly, I think it actually saves more because of the great content it has in it. If you were to take your favorite frugal and lifestyle blogs and create a magazine, All You would be it.
One of the articles in the July issue is on Money-Saving Apps. I’m sure over their lifetime, those apps will save me hundreds of dollars. The article listed awesome apps for saving money at the supermarket, mall, restaurants, around town and on the road. I’m already obsessed with CardStar which lets you import all your loyalty cards into the app and then you just scan your phone at checkout.
Next time you are at Dollar General be sure to check out All You magazine. I think you will really like it. I know I do.
Note: If you don’t have a Dollar General near you, you can also now get All You at Publix, Food Lion, Target, Kroger, Family Dollar, Winn-Dixie, Harris-Teeter, Ingles, Bi-Lo, K-VA-T Food Stores, Sweetbay Supermarkets, JH Harvey, and BJS.
All You magazine works for me!
