Project Life Tuesday: Featuring Elle’s Studio
Welcome to Project Life Tuesday 2013 If you are new to The Mom Creative, welcome. I hope you will stay awhile. I’m Jessica – wife to Matthew, mom to Elias, a silly and spirited five-year-old, and Adeline, a spunky two-year-old. I’m also a marketing professional, savvy deal finder, photo lover and memory keeper trying to juggle it all.
Each Tuesday, I share my most recent spread as well as host a linky for readers to link up their pictures/layouts. Some links are affiliate links.
This week I am tickled to share two weeks of spreads, both featuring products from Elle’s Studio. The sweet Elle herself sent me a whole box of goodies, which I was happy to put to good use.
Week 31: July 28-August 3
Pages used: Design A, 6 x 12 for 4×6 Photos
The first page was pretty simple – photos + journaling cards. I especially love the tiny tag that I used on the top right photo. You will see these use repeatedly throughout my layouts this week.
For the 6×12 insert, I used a single card to write some unique personality traits that Elias and Adeline have been showcasing lately. I don’t do this enough in my albums.
On the back of the 6×12 insert are more photos of the kids, with a few tidbits added on. I loved using those tidbits on my layouts this week. SO fun and simple.
For the last page, I did my journaling on a 6×4 card + a tiny tag. Really love how this layout came together.
Week 32: August 4-10
Pages used: Design A, Design G (x2)
The first page of the next week was mostly pictures of the kids sent to me by their teachers, as well as me with my book advance (we were so excited!). I loved using the Elle’s Studio tidbits again on the pictures. I added an Elle’s Studio journaling tag over the check itself because of course that’s private and used it to write about the blessing of it to our family.
I then used two Design G pages for this week, since it included a visit to Wisconsin and lots of pictures with baby Landon! This first page includes Elle’s Studio tidbits, a tiny tag and an adorable frame for an instagram. LOVE the frames!!
On the back, I used a bunch of Landon photos + some tidbits.
Then, the next insert was all photos from our trip to the State Fair. I used more cute frames on this page too.
On this page, I love the journaling card that is a little talk bubble.
You can see I wrote all about Adeline’s thoughts of the dino ride. Hilarious.
I kept the last page pretty simple with photos + 3×4 Elle’s Studio journaling cards.
WHEW! That was a lot of photos and pages. I hope they inspired you to check out Elle’s Studio. Get free shipping on any Elle’s Studio orders over $35 with the code momcreative.
Project Life Links to Check Out
I love this post about how to document school memories with Project Life.
Katie’s Project Life spread with the daily journaling cards was so inspiring. I might try this one week. Actually, when Matthew goes to Guatemala with World Vision in two weeks, I might send some cards with him to write on every day.Wouldn’t that be cool? (I’m not sure that he will do it though – ha!)
I really liked the mix of black and white and color photos in Holly Corbett’s spread. Check out her lovely design.
And Beth’s use of orange and yellow in her spread is awesome. I need to try sticking with one or two colors one week. I don’t think I have ever done this!
hi jessica! I LOVE how you used Elle’s Studio!
That caption by Adeline on the dino ride is just too precious, I love how you journaled her reaction to the photo. Such a great idea!
ps. Congrats on the book deal!
Lovely pages, I don’t have a lot of experience with Chic Tags although I think I do have a set of monthly rounds from them. I really like how you used the tiny tags and the smaller round embellishments. In this week’s post I used a WRMK pocket page, the kind with the 6X12 spot and while I’ve used it before I had not used it for one big picture. I was inspired by you doing that and love how it really highlights a special picture. Thanks for showing me how cool it could look.
Whoops I meant to say elles studio, I was just on the Chic Tags site, sorry about that
Loved seeing you work with the products from Elle. 🙂
