So, are these products on HSN a good deal? Even with retailers offering 40% coupons?
YES.
Here are my two cents regarding the prices:
The HSN prices are significantly cheaper than what is available on Amazon, and just a little more expensive than using two 40% off coupons at a retailer like Michaels or Hobby Lobby (because of shipping costs.)
For instance, if you were to buy the combo core kit + variety pack of page protectors on Amazon, the cost would be $59.98. If you went to a retail store and use two 40% off coupons, you could get a core kit + variety pack of page protectors for $35.99 + tax, making it about the same as HSN.
You also have to take into account your time to go to the store + gas. Frankly, I would rather pay the shipping and save the time + gas of going to the store.
Also important to note, I have read on some message boards that people are seeing Michaels stores starting to increase Project Life kits from $29.99 to $39.99. (My Michaels still has core kits at $29.99.) If kits are being marked up, HSN is definitely a better deal.
So go check out HSN and get yourself some Project Life.

I ordered the Blush bundle when it was first on HSN. I had never shopped with them before and it was super easy. It was a better deal than ordering the pieces individually from Amazon (which I did for my 2012, 2013 and Baby edition kits). I’be been thinking about ordering more complete kits to give a Christmas or Wedding gifts.
I’m surprised you think this is a better
Deal than HL or Ms with a coupon. You can also stack coupons at
Micheals making it even less.
However. I will say the ease of purchase might have done it for me if they had more selection of kits. I did purchase a 2nd set
Of the pins and the envelope pockets. Those were a GREAT BUNDLE at $19.99 for 15, when on amazon it is muh higher (I want to say $12.99 for 3).
I didn’t say it was a “better” deal. I said it was very similar in price with coupons. And, I am seeing more and more reports of Michaels increasing kit prices to $39.99, so yes, if that is the case, it is definitely better.
And yes to the value of the price on the pens and envelope packs!
I love getting these bundle on HSN during their scrap and craft day. I do not get a chance often to get to Michael’s and what I saw recently was minimal as though it had been gone through by customers and opened. Cashier told me coupons not usable on Project Life so I will stick to HSN special days. Now I will have to buy another medium craft organizer from CTMH to store the new stuff I bought. I was able to get Rain and Kraft with the pages a great deal. Can’t wait for the new mini kits to be available soon. Did anyone get the new Zink Happy printer that was the special on HSN? I was on the fence and decided to wait until the holidays for a better price. Thanks for reminding us about the sale!
The cashier was wrong. I’m glad you were able to get a good deal!
Thanks for the heads up on the price increase at Michaels! I think that the increase is a bit much. Unfortunately at Michaels in N. Cali you can’t stack coupons anymore. You can only use one per day…unless its super busy and you just run your goodies out to the car and come back in to make a second purchase. They are not friendly that way in my neck of the woods. I may head over tomorrow to see what they have and to see if I can pick anything up at the lower price. Thanks again!
