Happy Halloween!
Happy Halloween! My kids have been looking forward to today for weeks, as have I.
Today the kids have a costume party at school (I made these monster cookies, thank you Pinterest) and tonight we will hopefully go trick-or-treating if it doesn’t rain. I think I am as excited as the kids, and I will be so disappointed if the weather forces us to stay inside.
Last night we did a trial run with the kids and tried to take a few photos, but it was too close to dark and they didn’t turn out very well. But that’s okay! Life isn’t perfect and at the end of the day it isn’t about the pictures. That said, we will hopefully get a few sharper ones today. 🙂
In the costume department, we are going all out, with the whole family dressing up as characters from Little Red Riding Hood. (Be sure to follow me on Instagram for some sneak peeks!)
This coming Monday (November 4) will be the annual Halloween costume link-up here on The Mom Creative and I hope y’all will participate. Just share your family’s costume photos on your blog or on Pinterest. Then, link your post here with your cute photos. I can’t wait to see them all.
Have fun and be safe trick-or-treating tonight!
Oh – and by the way – if you are needing to develop some photos, here are a few photo deals you may want to take advantage of (affiliate links used):
Shutterfly: Get 101 Free Prints with code SPOOKY. Ends Friday, 11/1. (Shipping is only $5.99 if you order 99 prints instead of the 101. Awesome deal!)

Cute costumes. My daughter is Little Red Riding Hood as well. We talked about my son being the wolf but he opted for Grim Reaper. Thanks for the snapfish penny prints. i use those a lot. I must have missed their e-mail, since Yahoo Mail seems to sending all of my valid emails to spam folder nowadays.
This Nana loved that photo so much. I have been driving everyone crazy showing it off at work and to everyone that knows I have grandkids…One happy Nana
