  1. Paralyzed would definitely describe me! We have also been in our house just over a year and I am embarrassed at how little decorating I have done! We have built in bookcases that I have no clue how to fill! Please share more about your gallery wall! Your Instagram pic looked awesome!

    1. Yes, I definitely will. Just want to get it a little more complete. I’m sure I will always tinker with it, but I have a few holes still to fill. 🙂

We have built-ins as well, but my problem is filling them TOO much. We have a BIG book problem with both Matthew and I being such big readers. I’m constantly purging.

  2. I also am definitely paralyzed when it comes to decorating my home. I did what you did, wait to get a feel of how we live in the house, but 5 years and 2 additional kids later and I still feel parts of my house are unfinished/undecorated. But, I am totally digging the styles lately and need to stop the excuses and just take a deep breath and plunge into a couple rooms.

What year is your home? It looks beautiful. And that amount of work done in 4 days is mighty impressive!

    1. I think it was built in 1986 or 1987. The wallpaper in some of the rooms definitely shows off those 80s styles. 🙂

Yes, I want to encourage you to just start somewhere. It doesn’t have to be big. The gallery wall took just an hour or two and has made me smile 1,000 times in just a few days. I know there’s a project in your home that will do the same for you. Good luck!

  3. Had to laugh as I just finished writing a very similar post today. I’ll keep you accountable if you do the same for me – let’s get those frames hung on walls!

  4. I love to do simple home projects. However, you would totally botch a big job like that…some people have the talent and some people don’t. (I’m pointing at me)

  5. My husband is putting wood floors down right now! We’ve been in our house about 15 months and I also need to get some pictures on the wall. I just don’t want to pay for big prints of everything and realize they don’t look good! We hired a painter for almost the entire interior– what a great decision. He was a very affordable painter, and I guarantee we’d still be living with half painted walls if we hadn’t don’t that! I’m going to go order some prints to hang right now.
