Connecting “Nextdoor” + FREE $50 Amazon Gift Card
A few months ago we received a direct mail to join a new neighborhood social community called Nextdoor. Since we are so new to our neighborhood, I jumped at the chance.
Nextdoor is like a listserve, but cooler – and its free! People in our neighborhood post HOA minutes, invitations to community gatherings, garage sale notices, queries for services, and more. When bad weather was predicted on Halloween last week, we went to Nextdoor to see what our neighbors were saying about postponing trick-or-treat. Even Matthew likes it!
When I signed into Nextdoor last week, I noticed that they are really trying to grow and are offering an awesome incentive for starting a Nextdoor page for your neighborhood – a free $50 Amazon gift card.
YEOW! I was so excited to share this with you. Just start a Nextdoor neighborhood and we’ll each get a $50 Amazon gift card (thanks for using my referral link!). To start a neighborhood, you need 10 neighbors to sign up, but Nextdoor makes it easy to send postcards to addresses around you. We received a postcard to join from someone we didn’t even know.
With Christmas around the corner, I thought many of you would jump at the chance to get a free $50 Amazon gift card, plus Nextdoor is awesome and helps you build community with those around you. It’s a win all the way around.
I hope this resource helps you foster community in your neighborhood – and helps with some Amazon shopping.
Terms: For a neighborhood to qualify, you must not have an existing Nextdoor site in your neighborhood. To officially launch your site, you need to sign up at least 10 neighbors who verify their addresses during the 21-day pilot period. Pilot time frames may be extended in special circumstances or upon request. Gift cards will be emailed within 45 days.
Can’t get the link to work. 🙁
