Project Life Tuesday: Documenting a Vacation
Welcome to Project Life Tuesday 2014 If you are new to The Mom Creative, welcome. I hope you will stay awhile. I’m Jessica – wife to Matthew, mom to Elias, a silly and spirited five-year-old, and Adeline, a spunky two-year-old. I’m also a marketing professional, savvy deal finder, photo lover and memory keeper trying to juggle it all.
Each Tuesday, I share my most recent spread as well as host a linky for readers to link up their pictures/layouts. Some links are affiliate links.
Y’all! It’s so good to be back to posting Project Life Tuesday. I needed a break at the end of December/January, so thank you for going along with me. 🙂
I have not quite finished up my 2013 album, and I haven’t even started 2014 beyond printing some Instagrams, so I have A LOT of work to do. I have not been this far behind in a long time, but I am just rolling with it and keeping my pages very simple, as you will see below.
Today I am sharing the week in November from our trip to the Bahamas. I used the Project Life tropical themed cards, which I bought from HSN in December (now sold out). This set kept the design really fun.
I love the first page because it has a 12×6 photo (one we took using our camera’s timer.) These are always my favorite photos to include in my album. (I print them at home.) This page protector is from We R Memory Keepers and they are on sale one Amazon for just $5.99 (regularly around $14).
For the next page I inserted two Design G page protectors and dedicated it to our day to the Exumas Islands.
For the next spread, you can see the back of the Design G page + the 6 x 12 for 4×6 photos page I used for a few more photos. Again, I kept this week extremely simple, using Project Life how it was created to be – just photos + journaling cards. Nothing fancy. I was all about getting it done!
For the last spread, you can see the back of the 6×12 insert, plus the Design A page. I actually slipped my date card in here, and mounted a photo to it, which was a good way to get one more picture in!
Well that wraps up my spread and out trip to the Bahamas! Lots of photos and great memories that I am happy to have documented.

I am glad to see you are back posting the link up! Don’t feel guilty about taking a break. Every blogger needs to do that from time to time 🙂
Looks like you had a wonderful trip! I am a bit jealous given all the cold and snow we’ve had here lately.
It was a wonderful trip. It was in November, so I too am tired of the cold and want to go back! 🙂
Thanks for the chance to link up! I put both of your buttons on my blog!
Looks like such a fun trip! You got some great pictures of the two of you. I have to remember to use 4×6 cards for journaling instead of trying to force everything onto 3×4 when I have a lot to say. Worked so well in your layouts.
i love this! I have been working on documenting our Disney trip using Project Life— PL is so great for documenting travels. Always love your pages Jessica!
