Throwback Thursday Stories
Welcome to Throwback Thursday Stories where each week we share and link-up the stories behind our Throwback Thursday photos. It’s an awesome opportunity to document untold stories about the photos in shoe boxes, scrapbooks and hard drives in your home.
For today’s story, I wanted to share this picture of my sister and me with our baby cousin, Natalie. According to my mom’s note in my photo album, my Aunt Gail and Natalie came for a weekend visit in June 1993.
While I don’t remember the visit, I do remember Natalie as a baby. It was so exciting for us when she was born. (I was about 10 and remember holding her, what she was wearing (a pink ruffled dress) and how small she was.)
Here she is about 1.5. I love that we were teaching her all about water balloons – clearly, she wanted to suck on them instead – and that we were in our kiddie pool.
I also love our awesome neon bathing suits and fabulous bangs.
Natalie recently graduated from college. I marvel that she is all grown up since to me, she is always that baby. Time flies, doesn’t it?
Now my own babies are bigger than Natalie and we recently did water balloons with them!
Can’t wait to see your photos and read your stories today. Please link-up below.
And next week, let’s do a theme and write about dads, since Father’s Day is June 15! Write about your dad, grandpa, husband or any dad you know. 🙂 It will be fun – and I’ll have a special Father’s Day giveaway too. You won’t want to miss it.
Love these weekly posts…So much fun
Oh how I LOVED the hole-in-the-middle swimsuits!
