  1. I love to read! I’m horrible with my self control though. Once I start a book, the whole world comes to a stop until I finish it. Hubby and the kids can cook their own meals and wash their clothes. Right? LOL

  2. Actually, I enjoy scrapbooking, which surprises me, but a few years ago I stumbled upon your Project Life posts and found a method that works for me. I LOVE looking back at the pages I have made and have memories come to life because I took the time to document. Thank you!

  3. My favorite thing to do in the fringe hours is to just be with myself… to be still and quiet… to read or write… to pray. Just decompress from all the world around me. 🙂

  4. The fringe hours find me doing watercolor painting or practicing my new instrument – the violin! I’ve always wanted to learn, and am taking it up at age 32! 🙂

  5. I love to read in the fringe hours. I want to be able to get back into scrapbooking and paper crafting. I miss it so much! I also need to fit exercise in there, too. And did I mention I would love a Kindle???

  6. I love to read but just never have the time. I love to bake and cook too. However with a 5 year old, 1 year old, career and husband with a busy career, sports, church, etc, etc – my favorite thing may just be taking a nap! I would love a kindle!

  7. I really like to read. That’s been my go to for awhile but I’d also like to reawaken my inner maker/creator. Back in the pre/one child days I think I actually made things. I vaguely remember that being fun.

  8. I love to sit and be still. enjoying the quietness of my house. thanking God for my blessings, my family and thinking about our future!

  9. I love to spend daytime fringe hours on a walk by the lake or just outside in the sun. At night I love to paint or snuggle in bed with a good movie.

  10. I usually choose to read during my fringe hours. I check out lots of books from the library, and I have the kindle app on my phone. I haven’t splurged and purchased a kindle yet, but I’ve had my eye on one for quite a while! Winning a kindle would be pretty special!!

  11. I’ve already ordered a copy of your book and two extras for friends. When I have fringe time, I LOVE to read. I also love when I have time to take pictures – being able to capture special memories for my family and others.

  12. I love to make (just about anything!) something with my hands. This year I have challenged myself to also use some of that precious time to read, and I’m starting book #4 today, which is only 1 lass than I read all of last year!

  13. Outside the house I like to kayak or do photography. Inside (since it’s cold for so long up here in Canada) I love to bake or read.

  14. Would love to try out a Kindle! I have been loyal to paper books so far, but keep seeing great e-books that I would like to read. A Kindle would help me with that!

  15. When I am alone I like it quiet. I love to read and learn about photography, nutrition, wellness, parenting and self-improvement. Congrats on your book! Just ordered my signed copy and one for a friend! 🙂

  16. Sorry to see you go. I can’t believe it has been 6 years! I have always enjoyed the Bloom book club since it’s inception. It has been a blessing to have been a part of it. I pray success in your future endeavors and am glad the club will remain

  18. I used to be able to read when I had free time, but adding a 3rd kid to the mix, I find myself really distracted when I try, so I normally just watch an episode of a favorite show or play a game on my phone.

  19. Now that my kids are older (7 and 4) it is easier tonfind time to do the special things I like to do with my free time: read, paint my nails, take a bubble bath, dinner with girlfriends, etc.! It doesn’t have to be expensive!

  20. My fringe hours are spent reading and drinking coffee, with the occasional Gray’s Anatomy episode thrown in 🙂

  21. Over the years, my fringe hours have morphed from more of a focus on reading to more of one on running. I enjoy each activity for different reasons, but I’ve missed the reading aspect so much since my little girl was born. I’ve been working on bringing that back into my routine in recent months.

  22. im so excited for the fringe hours book study on bloom! i just discovered this amazing blog and network of such inspiring women who so deeply love the Lord and it has been so impactful on my own life.

  23. I do love to read but I also just started to quill again. I did it long ago when I was a girl in 4-H so it has come back quickly and it feels sooooo good to do something creative with my hands!

  24. Read…or create :). I am sad that bloom will no longer be….you will have to keep us posted on all the great books.

  25. My favorite thing to do is gather my favorite magazines and books with a cup of coffee and just veg out in the bed and read.

  26. I would always take a book or magazine with me in the car and read when I was waiting for the kids to get out of school. Now we live in a busy suburb and I can read at some stop lights due to the time length. Even reading one page is helpful to keeping me sane

  27. I don’t have too many fringe hours these days, but when I do I love to read, run, and work on my Erin Condren planner. Thank you for the wonderful giveaway.

  28. I enjoy reading, writing, exercising, coffee with friends. I have enjoyed learning how to take advantage of the Fringe Hours! Thank you for writing this book, Jessica!

  29. I love to read it relaxes me. I still read paper books, which makes it challenging sometimes…. because when I find I have a few minutes to read…. I don’t actually have a book waiting to be read. I would love to have a Kindle Fire!!!!

  30. So excited for you and for your new adventures after bloom. I did at least 3 with you all and read Angies books and followed Sara. I attended her funeral as I live in Iowa.
