My Love Letter to You
So I never wanted to write a book. It was never on my bucket list. My husband is the writer in our family. I have always been content to work in marketing, write here on The Mom Creative, be a wife and mom and pursue a few hobbies.
Yet, today is release day for my new book The Fringe Hours: Making Time for You.
What happened?
Well, it all started when I was at ALT, a blogging conference in Salt Lake City. While in a session on time management, the idea hit me. I bought the domain thefringehours.com during that session and started working on a proposal that night.
Within three months, I had an agent, a proposal and three sample chapters. Within six months, I had a book contract. It was fast.
I believe the reason why it everything moved so fast is because every woman resonates with the message of The Fringe Hours. We yearn for time to do the things that we love, but don’t know that it is possible.
We over-yes and over-commit and go from morning til night with little margin. Pushing our passions aside seems like the easiest way to keep our heads above water.
But I promise, there is a better way. You can find time for yourself in the fringe hours of the day. And when you redeems those hours for yourself, not only will you be happier, but you will thrive in every other area of your life.
The Fringe Hours is a love letter for you. If we could sit down and share a meal, it’s what I would tell you. That you matter. That you shouldn’t feel guilty. That pursuing your passions honors God and the way He created you. That in the fringe hours, you can find joy.
It is the heart of what I write about here on The Mom Creative. It is creating a life well crafted in every sense of the expression.
For the past 18 months, much of my fringe hours have been spent on The Fringe Hours because I believe so strongly that every woman needs this book. It’s available today and I hope you’ll pick up a copy, be inspired and share it with a friend.
It is not selfish to make time for yourself. It is good, healthy and wise.
Redeem your fringe hours today.
I”m almost finished with the audiobook. Started yesterday (that was cool to get the audio before the book came out). It’s right on time. I need to take an accounting of my time usage, limit my tv watching and pinterest time as well. Overall I just need to make time for the more important things and for Pete’s sake drink water. Duh.
I just received your book today!! Cannot wait to read it with the Bloom book club! I remember taking part in your original survey
Just got my copy today. Looking forward to it.
So thrilled for you and proud of you! This is a special book.
I am looking forward to reading the book this week.
