Ezra at 3 Months
It’s hard to believe that Ezra is already three months old!
Yesterday I took his monthly photo with Olaf. (See months 1 and 2 here). I was by myself so I couldn’t catch a big smile (always happens when you rub his cheeks) and back up with the camera in time for him to keep it, but still got a pretty good one. 🙂
Things he is doing these days:
- Smiling
- Sitting up against the couch without tipping
- Cooing
- Sucking his fist/thumb (will NOT take a paci – just gags!)
- Drooling (especially in the past 10 days)
- Tracking
He often gets a big smile on his face when Elias and Adeline talk to him. It is SO precious.
This month he has also gotten interested in toys and smiles when you shake a rattle in front of him. He is enjoying his playmat more and the monkeys on his bouncy seat.
Last week, while we were on spring break, he got his first cold. It was so awful. He was very congested, coughing a lot and we think it turned into an ear infection too. Since we were out of town when he got worse (I had taken him to the pediatrician Sunday and Monday), our pediatrician thankfully prescribed an antibiotic. It made a huge difference!
Usually he wakes up once a night, although last night he slept from 9:30-5:45! We plan to transition him out of our room and into a crib this next week, so I am not sure how that will impact his sleep habits.
I think he is going through a bit of a growth spurt right now because he wants to eat ALL THE TIME. (This photo of him nursing today cracked me up.) He’s currently just over 12 lbs. and wearing 3 month clothing.
I can’t put into words how much I adore him and how much he has completed our family. He is really wonderful. I’m so thankful for him every day.
He is so, so, cute!! My little guy won’t take a paci either- and we’ve tried several different kinds! So glad to hear you have a good sleeper and a happy boy!!
I think my Jase and your Ezra would be the best of friends! Haha! Jase will be 3 months on April 13–I’m loving seeing all these milestones of Ezra and knowing that Jase is just a few weeks behind him.
