EXPIRED: Exercising for the First Time + $50 off ClassPass
So I have never, ever, ever been an exerciser. I have done seasons of yoga, going to the gym, etc. but it has never been consistent.
After having Ezra, a company called ClassPass emailed me and said we are coming to Nashville. We saw you just had a baby – could we give you a month’s trial? They didn’t even ask me to blog about it, which was really kind.
Since I gained more than 60 lbs, I knew I was going to need to do something, so I said yes, I would try it in April.
And y’all, something amazing happened.
I found a type of class I REALLY loved.
Barre. It rocked my world. I wanted to exercise.
I loved barre because it wasn’t high impact (important because I’m out of shape and I am, shall we say, well-endowed, so exercise like running is REALLY not fun for me), but it was hard and a great workout.
Barre is just one of the many types of classes offered by ClassPass.
Here’s how ClassPass describes itself:
ClassPass is a monthly membership to the best boutique fitness classes in your city. There are thousands of classes available to ClassPass members, including cycling, pilates, yoga, strength training, dance, martial arts, and more.
For $79 – $99 a month (price varies by city), ClassPass members get unlimited classes to studios in the ClassPass network. While members can take as many classes per month as they’d like, they can visit the same studio up to 3 times per monthly membership cycle.
So its awesome because you can do many different classes at different studios and save a bunch of money. (For instance, barre classes can often run in the $200-$300 range for just 10 classes, but you can take A LOT more with ClassPass.) I loved the variety, meeting new people, checking out different studios, etc.
Yesterday I got an email with a crazy deal for ClassPass. I emailed them a bunch of times to make sure I understood the details to pass along to you.
If you use this referral link, you will get $50 off your first month to ClassPass making it just $29-$49, depending on where you live.
So for less than $50 you can try out a bunch of cool exercise classes in your city that would all be significantly more if you did them ala carte.
Also, once you sign up, you can email ClassPass and request your own referral link to share the $50 coupon with friends. You also get a $50 credit when someone signs up!
I love ClassPass and getting to share it with you with a coupon like this?! WIN!
Locations
Here is where you can currently take advantage of ClassPass:
New York, LA/Orange County, San Francisco, Chicago, Miami, Boston, Washington DC, Seattle, Atlanta, Austin, Charlotte, Columbus, Dallas/Ft Worth, Denver, Houston, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Portland, San Diego, Las Vegas, Raleigh, Baltimore, Tampa, St. Louis, Orlando, Nashville, Sacramento, Kansas City, London, Toronto and Vancouver.
This $50 discount is only available if you sign up by May 26 May 29, so if you are at all interested in ClassPass, I urge you to sign up. If it ends up not being right for you, they make it super easy to cancel your membership too – just be sure to do it at least 3 days before your next billing cycle so you don’t get charged for the next month.
I’m happy to answer any questions that I can. I wasn’t planning to post today, but when I saw this offer, I couldn’t help myself. I really, really loved my ClassPass trial so much that I signed on to continue being a member. And for a non-exercise girl like me, that says a lot!
This sounds amazing. I am sadden though that they don’t have one in my location. :-(( but it is what it is. I guess I just need to get my ass back to the YMCA considering I am paying $89 a month and not using it.
Hopefully they will branch out to our area soon.

Thank you for sharing! I am signing up right now!!! This is an awesome deal – I was so excited to see the yoga studio I love is on the list for my city and I’ve been wanting to try a Barre class, too!!! Have a great weekend! 🙂
This is a great deal! I think my friends and I are going to sign up. We just had babies 5 weeks ago and so it seems like all of the yoga and barre studios would be good ways to ease back into working out. So when we buy through your link do you know if we can choose for it to start in June or a specific date range? Or is is the month going to start from the day we buy it? Also do you just workout when your husband can watch the kids? I thiNk barre3 is maybe the only studio with childcare…do you know of any others? Thanks!!
I’m so glad you are going to sign up. I feel like I can’t do justice of how great it has been for me.
It starts the day you sign up, and then renews every 30 days after that.
Yes, I workout when my husband can keep the kids. Now that I am back to work, I am going to try to start going on my lunch break once or twice during the week. My goal is to go 3-4 times a week.
Remember, the offer ends May 26! Hope you like it as much as I do.
