Projects, Projects, Projects
Adeline singing to Ezra while he swings
Lots of projects going on in the Turner home these days.
Remodeling my craft room: Wallpaper is stripped, walls are patched. This weekend it’s on to painting. Then in early June, my dad is coming to install counters. I’m giddy!
Editing my next book: A gift book version of The Fringe Hours that is all sorts of wonderful.
Enjoying the warm weather: Can’t wait to head to the pool this weekend. The kids are ready too!
Catching up on Project Life: My 2015 album is finally coming together. It feels so good to be scrapbooking after a LONG hiatus.
Devouring this book: Definitely will finish it in the next few days. I can’t put it down. Do yourself a favor and buy it immediately.
So I’ll be taking a few days off from blogging this holiday weekend. See you next week with lots of good stuff.
Oh, and if you haven’t signed up for my new newsletter yet, be sure you do so. It will go out next week and features my summer must-have, an interview with the fabulous Crystal Paine and more!
Is All the Light we Cannot See sad? I keep seeing it recommended places (and, of course, won a Pulitzer!), but I am pretty sensitive to sad/scary stuff. I keep reading that it’s about WWII but not much is said about it being sad… just wondering if I should brave it.
It is sad, but most books from that period are. It is not scary at all. I would give it a go. I finished it tonight and really loved it.
Are you going to do project life posts anymore? I noticed that you said you are doing a project life album this year. That’s impressive that you are able to stay on top of it with a new baby. I had a new baby last year and I found it really hard to do.
I took a 9-month break on Project Life, but recently started up again. I will do a post soon! I got 3 months of photos in, but need to do my journaling.
Great! I’d love to see it. Maybe gives some tips on how to catch up quickly, keep it really simple, etc. when you have big life events such as having a baby?
Please do more PL posts and don’t worry about being “caught up”! I’m a teacher, and so I really only work on my PL album during breaks from school. I finished my 2014 album over spring break and will do Jan-July this summer, then probably not touch my album again until Thanksgiving or possibly Christmas break, depending on how much traveling we do. It’s just the rhythm I’ve fallen into for doing my albums and I actually think it adds a different perspective to them to be doing my journaling months after the pictures were taken. It helps filter out the fluff/filler and helps hone in on what I really want to remember and record.
