Weekend Links
Happy Friday! This has been a LONG week for me because we have been so sick in my house. I was supposed to speak at Allume but had to cancel, which was a hard decision.
Today I wanted to quickly share some fun links to deals, good reads, etc.
The Inspired Room: Simple Ideas to Love the Home You Have: I’m so excited about this book. It releases Nov. 1 and I am buying it for several friends for Christmas. Right now Amazon has it at nearly 50% off, which is a GREAT price for a hardcover, full-color book.
Craving pumpkin? This pumpkin chocolate chip banana bread is a favorite in our house. Can’t wait to make it this weekend.
Need fall clothes? I just got a new coat, several Anthropologie sweaters and jackets for my kids from thredUP this week. If you haven’t shopped there, use this link to get two $10 credits. I love their stuff!
The leaves are changing in Nashville. I think I will be doing some fall photos this weekend. I thought these 24 tips for autumn photos were useful.
Speaking of photos, I am desperate to get back into Project Life. Through Sunday, Shutterfly is offering 100 free prints with the code FALL100, so I am going to try to take advantage of that. Baby steps. Also, through Sunday, get 10 free Christmas cards with the code 10CARDS.
Don’t forget! The DaySpring $5 gift sale ends Sunday.

Jessica,
Just listened to your podcast with Tsh on The Simple Show. Great advice, and so inspiring that you do all you do–and give practical tips for how. Really resonated with me when you said your husband thought you were happier when reading a good book. I think I’m the same. We just need that escapism. Also why I write stories and not just articles. Hate you’re missing Allume, but I couldn’t make it happen either. Maybe next year. Feel better and hang in there!
My best single parenting advice (my husband travels some too and we have 4): Organize the calendar and eat simple meals. Not sure why, but when he’s gone I feel way less pressure to have a full meal and instead we eat a lot of fresh fruit, veggies, and fish sticks.
