Nashville’s Best Bus Tour: The NashTrash Tour

Without question, my most recommended experience to tell tourists about is the NashTrash tour, a Nashville bus tour unlike anything you have ever experienced.

The NashTrash tour is a comedy bus tour hosted by the hilarious Jugg Sisters, Sherri Lynn and Brenda Kay. They are improv geniuses who sing, dance and tell jokes about Nashville and it’s history, all while driving around on a big pink bus. Don’t worry – they have a driver!

This is my favorite thing to book when I find out that friends are visiting months in advance. I have taken my friend Rachel on the NashTrash tour, as well as my mom, sister and Aunt Sandy. (Adeline was one when the below photo was taken. OMG I look so young, and the bus is totally different!)

For my birthday this year, I was able to get tickets for us to go with my friends Chris and Brian, who were visiting from Phoenix.

We laughed so hard within the first 10 minutes that our cheeks hurt for basically two hours. One of the best parts of the tour is that Sherri Lynn and Brenda Kay learn the names of everyone on the bus at the start of the tour, along with little trivia, which they incorporate into their show. It makes for a one-of-a-kind experience and really adds to the bus tour’s special experience.

It is important to note, that this Nashville bus tour has a lot of adult jokes, humor and can get a bit dirty, so don’t book if you are easily offended. It is definitely not something to do with children (kids under 15 aren’t allowed on the bus).

The two-hour tour starts at the Nashville Farmer’s Market and goes all through downtown, including past the Ryman Auditorium, the Country Music Hall of Fame, and down legendary Music Row before returning to the Market.

People are sat on the bus first come, first serve, so if you want to get seats near the front, get there at least 30 minutes early.

On average, The Nash Trash tour books out three months in advance. Each month’s schedule goes live at 2pm Central Time, on the first Wednesday of the month about three months early (unless that day is a holiday). So for my birthday in July, we booked tickets the first Wednesday of April. The tour was sold out in 20 minutes.

When you book your tickets, you only pay a $3 holding fee, so it is better to pay for a group if you know you are going to want to do a group booking. I sent the link out to some other friends right when they went on sale, not realizing the $3 fee (I thought I had to pay for the whole ticket at the time of booking) and by the time folks got there, it was sold out.

I’ve truly never experienced anything like the NashTrash tour. If you are coming to Nashville with your spouse or a group of friend, I would definitely book your tickets for this Nashville bus tour in advance. It’s a show like you have never seen before.
