5 Awesome Family Games You Might Not Know
If your family loves games, I am so excited to share these games with you. We have bought all of these family games (or gotten them as gifts), and they are all AWESOME. Like, I cannot stop telling people to buy them. They are good for ages 5 – 105. Seriously, Adeline loves playing them as much as I love playing them.
You will NOT be disappointed by any of these family games. Some are available on Amazon and some are only on Target. (FYI Target has free shipping on all orders right now!) I’ve linked the best prices and places for you (affiliate links used in post).
Otrio: I discovered this game for Elias earlier this year and it immediately became a family favorite. It’s also the game the kids always pick when friends come over, and we have converted many families to it. Think Tic Tac Toe with strategy. To win, get three pieces of your color in a row based upon similar size; lined up in ascending or descending order; or within the same space as three concentric pieces. The rules are simple but the game is complex. A Marbles: Brain Workshop game for two – four players, only available at Target.
Newton: Like Connect 4, but so much more fun. Object is to get 5 matching balls across the tubes, but it requires way more strategy than you’d expect. A Marbles: Brain Workshop game for two players, only available at Target.
Oh Snap!: Elias got this game for Christmas from his aunt and uncle and it instantly became a favorite. Created by Marbles: Brain Workshop, the object is to get the most points by removing pieces from the game board. Players remove one piece at a time during their turn. If the board’s cross bar does not move, the player keeps the piece and receives points based on the piece’s color. However, if the cross bar moves, the piece gets discarded. For fans of games like Jenga, this game is delightful.
QBitz: This is a visual strategy game that has three levels of difficulty. Rounds take a mere minute or two. The goal is to create a pattern using the colored cubes. Q-bitz is playable from early ages up, allowing young children and older individuals alike to develop and hone their spacial recognition and organizational skills. It’s truly fantastic.
Tenzi: A fast-paced and addicting dice game. If you like anything involving dice, Tenzi is a must-have. You’ll need one set of dice per player, so get multiple packs if you want more than four people to be able to play. We have two Tenzi games because we love playing this at get togethers.

I’m still thankful for your sharing about the Otrio game when it was on clearance this summer at Target ( I still see the game at Target but different box now). I was able to buy four for family Christmas gifts. And at such a savings. Thank you for the other game recommendations.
Yes, I bought a bunch too! It’s the best game. 🙂
