The Life Issue of a Third Grader
Elias is in third grade and has to do a lot of writing assignments. Recently he brought home an opinion piece that he got 100% on. I have never laughed so hard at a piece of school work.
If you are a first-born, as I am, you will be able to relate to his sentiments of his life issue.
Below is his answer to the question: What is a life issue that you believe is worth writing about and why?
Do you have a life issue that is worth writing about? In my opinion my life issue is that I am the oldest child in my family. That is my life issue because I have more responsibility then my brother and sister. For insists [sic] if my brother and sister are watching tv I am doing the dishes or making my bed and I’m sometimes cleaning my room. This is why being the oldest is my life issue.
His life really is tough isn’t it?!
Oh. my. word.
I told him I am going to keep this essay for the rest of my life. I then asked if I could share it with you, and he said yes.
Share this post if you agree that being the oldest is a life issue!
Oh my word for cute! I am the oldest of 3 as well. Elias – it will always be a life issue even when you get big! 🙂 That is what I tell my oldest child as well!
