January 2018 Reads
Despite being on book deadline and having a KILLER work month, I somehow managed to start the year finishing 6 month. Truthfully, reading helped save my sanity. It is my favorite kind of self-care. I read so many 4-5 star books, you’ll likely have A LOT to add to your TBR list. I’m so happy to share these books with you!

The February Book of the Month book picks are FANTASTIC. Truly, if you haven’t subscribed yet, this is the month to do it. Right now they are offering an awesome deal for new customers: use code YESPLZ at check out to get your first month free! You will need to enter your credit card information and must purchase the next month before being allowed to cancel. So basically, that works out to two new release hardbacks for $14.95, which is a STEAL.
Here are this month’s selections:
The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah:Following a shattering tour in the Vietnam War, Ernt Allbright attempts a fresh start by moving his family to Alaska, where they encounter old demons and new challenges on the last American frontier. (This was the one I was most excited about. I absolutely LOVE Kristin Hannah (author of The Nightingale) and had pre-ordered this on Amazon. Thankfully it was even cheaper with BOTM.)
The Philosopher’s Flight by Tom Miller: In an alternate world where only women are strong enough to wield magic, a gifted boy goes where no man has gone before: Radcliffe, a prestigious female-only school of sigilry.
An American Marriage by Tayari Jones: Celestial and Roy are a year into marriage when Roy is sent to prison for a crime he didn’t commit. After he’s exonerated, they must try to save a relationship that may have been damaged beyond repair.
Still Me by Jojo Moyes: Seeking adventure, a young British woman takes a job working for a family in New York and soon discovers the meaning of rich people problems (and a little romance, too!).
The Broken Girls by Simone St. James: When journalist Fiona Sheridan searches for clues to her sister’s murder at a haunted boarding school, her digging uncovers more deaths and secrets buried long ago.
And oh my goodness, if you haven’t preordered When God Made Light yet, do it right away today! Anyone who preorders it (from any store) and then submits this form will get When God Made You for 100% free. $0 shipping. TOTALLY FREE!!!
